Yes & Yes

A tad fucked.

Don't do it unless its very bloody high (And even then there are always flukes) or you like multiple smashed bones.

I'm really sorry. How high was it. And was it painful.

Here was a user @Amz_Falls
She survived the jump and was badly injured, that left her with permanent health problems, I believe she has completed suicide now. :(

Sadly only about 45ft as I was bit bonkers at the time & didn't know the local area to find anything higher.

Yes extremely bloody painful as you go splat before you pass out. Nearly 30yrs ago now, still got the wheelchair & tee shirt to prove it as they say.

And thanks

Yes unfortunately. I also know others who have survived jumping from various heights onto concrete, into water

I'm sorry to bother you. Did you mean to say you have lasting injuries to this day ?

No worries, yes I've been a wheelchair user for the last 28yrs. not fully paralysed just broke way too many important bones to live a pain free, walking kinda life.

Were there any changes to your life that aren't obvious or you didn't anticipate?

Were there any changes to your life that aren't obvious or you didn't anticipate?

In some ways its difficult to answer because I have now been disabled for far longer than I could run around, in that time you adapt, get pissed off at punctures, dog shite on the pavement etc, and in the end you look back (or I do anyway) & what I have now is my normal, like I wonder sometimes how do people roll over in bed etc?

At the time there was the unintended consequence of being stuck in a hospital bed for months that ended my suicidal self destructive rampage, then they just give you a tank of a chair at first that you couldn't even run away from an asthmatic in.

It also kept me alive past a period where I would have ended up dead, that has resulted in my meeting my then partner & a 15yrs relationship that would never have happened otherwise. I guess one aspect that is little understood is the effect 28yrs of constant pain signals assaulting your brain has, to me it feels like a overload of brain cells firing off in a never-ending way has resulted in some form of damage.

If I have missed the point, wandered off or just got flummoxed then feel free to give me a virtual slap (I may need it to wake up)

@Letmego. Please

Do you wish you had died ?

OR

Do you wish you had never jumped ?

At the time I wished I had died, hindsight & the good & bad years in-between have kept me from focusing on it too much, if I'd spent the last how ever many years wishing I was dead after than would have made me a very miserable person with a massive spud on my shoulder.

No I don't oddly wish that either, my theory is wishing is pointless, what's done is done & you move on as best you can, regret is pointless.

Sorry still early re caffeine intake so if I've missed the point please say so....
