Help Has anyone here ever successfully ran away/gone missing?

I have quite a strong urge to 'go missing' for a while, I'm not really sure why
Has anyone here had success in doing so? And is there a way to do it even if you have limited resources ie lack of money ?
I would like to keep my phone on me also but I don't know how to ensure it wouldn't be tracked because Google says even if you turn off all location setting it can still be tracked somehow…

You would definitely have to give up your phone or get a new one no one knows about. It can be pinged by the carrier to get your location within meters.

I always end up being found but a lot of that's down to me only being able to use public transport. I'd imagine it'd be a little easier to get away with a car.

Remember the hobo? They went missing before everyone was tracked, and they stayed missing. Hop a train and ride off into the sunset. Sign onto a tramp freighter and see the world, or at least its ports, while living in hard conditions with questionable crew members.
If you keep your phone your location will always be known, unless you're out in BFE. Buy a prepaid burner with cash, while fully masked. Your finances (bank/credit/debit) and ID cards may be flagged too. If you can buy prepaid cards and put a balance on them without ID, do that. Since you won't be able to live normally, chances are high you'll end up in sketchy or worse circumstances, unless it's just a short term disappearance.

But nah I was never noticed as missing, other people I knew would be clicked in a matter of hours but I think it depends on how closely monitored you are and if anyone is keeping tabs on you, people generally don't keep tabs on me so I could easily go missing and no one would realise

Same. I think if I went missing no one would notice until maybe months later.

If i could find a job that i can live by myself i plan on putting my keys and sim card onto the kitchen counter and leaving while my family isnt home. I just dont feel like burdening them anymore. I get really shaky and sick to my stomach everytime i envision myself hanging. I dont think i could go through it. Either one would be great but im hoping more for the ctb than leaving forever
