I can't even get close with partial. Will this mean I will fail with full?

The only way I can see full failing, is if the rope breaks, what the rope is tied to breaks, or someone finding and "saving" the person that hung themself. With full, you go beyond what is needed to compress the carotid artery and jugular.

No doubt, I agree. It'll either be quick or longer depending on how but it'll definitely work unless either of those things happen.

I was hanging on the noose and I failed because survival instinct kicked in.

If it happens fast enough I think you'll be passed out before you're able to lift yourself or at least you'd be too weak to lift yourself.

well what does that mean? fast enough? Are there factors to slow it down once you've kicked the stool?

Oh, sorry I meant like you pass out faster. In fear of messing up, I've been practicing and yesterday I got to a point I was so weak, my body couldn't move but I was more or less coherent. Like I knew I was about to go to sleep but being that the other end of the rope wasn't anchored, I was just stuck until consciousness came back fully. I know for sure at that moment, if I was full suspension, I would have just went to sleep. Zero pain too. Euphoria came after which is normal when blood is cuticulating again. But before that, zero pain, just slow closing of the eyes and loss of motor skills.
I feel like I still wasn't clear... if you don't get the carotid of course it would take longer/strangle you instead of stopping the blood which is cleaner/faster process.

Do you mean pull up whilst unconscious, isn't that impossible?

I wondered this too. Once you kick the bucket surely that's it.

you think? once the bucket is kicked, I believe you can use your hands to pull up yourself... well im a litte on the excercise side, and very skinny so i could do it, but maybe the weight of the body on the neck thats it... guess i'll never know... I dont like the hanging method personally. N.

I'm short and skinny and still don't see how if hitting the carotid properly one would be able to pull themselves up when full suspension. I can see fighting to stand up, or body thrashing about in partial suspension that could mess the process up.

Where did you place the noose? At the top of the neck? Was the knot at the back? Were you in standing position?

Noose high up on the neck (just below jawline), knot in the back, and I stand up. Tighten the noose as tight as it can go, deep inhale, lean head forward and then slide down the wall (or just bend the knees).
And I found slip knot works best.

The deep inhale for comfort bc you can't breath?
Was it painless bc your brain was quickly deprived of oxygen?

I feel like it works faster... no real reason. After finding the correct placement of the noose, it was surprising how painless it is.
Like, this may be weird... but the biggest smile comes across my face (mainly because of the euphoria after the blood comes back) but it's also strangely comforting to know, if nothing else, I at least have control over whether or not I die.

That's a pretty big relief for all of us. It makes us feel more in control.
More in control.

I've never heard of that happening, but it freaks me out a bit that you're saying that. Even though I probably couldn't do that. You couldn't really do that could you?

Indeed the control is quite relaxing. I couldn't imagine someone could, even athletic I'd imagine it would be an attempt made in vain. Especially if the noose is placed correctly. Motor skills go fairly quickly.

I have actual OCD so I need a 100% assurance of yes or no. I fucking hate my brain, why can't I just accept that it will most likely 100% work. I hate having this fucked up mind.

You not the only one that feels this way. For days I've practiced partial with not much success & envision myself struggling & gagging in pain with full. But my pain has become so great I'm going to take the risk soon

That is the exact reason why I haven't quite anchored the other end of the rope and keep just getting extremely close to complete blackout. My brain keeps telling me you gotta make sure this is right can't end up a vegetable and/or in a psych ward. I constantly do it while working, pretty sure that's not good for the brain either lol... you know instead of a smoke break at work it's "hanging break"
