Help Hard time finding sweet spot (partial)

For some time now I have been trying to find the "sweet spot" for partial hanging. I can feel me arteries, but do not know where to place my ligature. Some say as high as possible, other just at the base of your neck.
I do not have a distinct Adams Apple, so thats no good of a reference point for me.

Anyone has some tips?

I guess it's trial and error. However I recommend you use socks between your neck and the lace so it compress your arteries better
