I guess I misspoke. What I meant is that I had a brief moment earlier this year when I was happy, and the rest is based on being numb and dealing with permanent unhappiness.

It's like I can't be happy. Life is so unfair.

I believe that happiness does not exist (not in a true form anyway). Sure, we get fleeting moments of bliss and joy every now and then (which we should embrace) but it is all temporary. Nothing lasts forever, including what we enjoy. Just that rollercoaster called, life.

Heh, in that case, as cheesy as it may sound - It was good it lasted. It seems for our kind, those tiny things can make a small happiness feel like our largest rock to lean against. :) Just sad that there is always, darkness, that follows short.

It really does. I wish there was more happiness in the world and that things were easier.

I can relate a lot, not that childhood was very good but I used to feel more joy, in the past 7 years or so I feel I have been happy for like 1% of it. I am always a mix of numb and struggling almost all the time.
