I hung myself 6 weeks ago this Sunday incorporating the night night method. Put padding over my carotid arteries and then wrapped a scarf tightly around my neck, before putting a rope over the scarf and stepping off. No pain at all, just felt a bit of pressure in my head. I reckon I lost consciousness within a few seconds as i kept my eyes open and my sight gradually turned black. Next thing I remembered was waking up on the ground, extremely out of breath. I had failed to take in account that when your unconscious your body spasms and twitches a lot as it does everything to stay alive and the branch couldn't take the pressure and snapped. Got to remember next time to use a sturdy anchor point.

2nd attempt in the week, tried to hang myself a week before just using a rope, but was too painful and had to stop. Done loads of overdoses in the past 10 years, last serious one was over 3 years ago when I took close to 300 ibuprofen at 500mg a pill mixed with alcohol.
