Hanging technique

I read somewhere online that the best way for a short drop to work is to lean forward and then push head down. Would this work using a regular belt? It seemed when they wrote it they had specific type of noise in mind but didn't specify

It might, yes. Depends on the placement of the belt on your neck and how easily you can manage to let go of your balance to hang.
