It can be if you are lucky enough to win the carotid lottery. This is essentially the method of effect involved in the night-night method just accomplished in a different way. I have not experimented with this personally, but it seems the hangup(no pun intended) is consistently cutting of the carotid circulation. If you can get to a point where that can be consistently reproduced, you should have a fairly cheap, easy, and pain free exit method available to you at a time of your choosing.

Hanging is my likely method and I keep wondering if I should approach it in this way, like it's a 'game'. When I've attempted before, I always backed out because I would overthink and my survival instinct kicked it.. but there's many accidental deaths from the choking game (and also the auto-erotic game that has a similar function of strangulation). It works.. and it's the worldwide most used method for that reason, but it baffles me that I haven't been able to successfully attempt it yet. I don't want to give up hope and believe I can't do it though.. if so many others can, surely I can do it, too..

Rest in peace. It makes hanging sound like a straightforward method when I hear about how many people have ctb that way, but in reality it is difficult, as for me there is the fear of failure and of course there is the survival instinct. I do envy those who have left this world using this method, as it is easily accessible in comparison to other methods.

Does anyone know what equipment she used in the first part of the video? It looked comfortable.

In the second vid that "went wrong" what does "tied off the noose" mean. I don't know what to think now since the 2nd vid was supposed to be bad.

This was a well planned demonstration. She shot several of these.
The lesson is planning and practice. It is a very simple process but to work quickly and as comfortably as possible, you need the set up to be good.

Was the second girl feeling any pain? If blood stopped flowing to the brain that means she was unconscious and i can't feel anything right?

There are several if these. She passed out and is carried to a couch by the assistants. It shows how quickly it can kill if you are not careful (or plan correctly)

I've only ever hesitated to hang because it's slightly difficult to do in my situation, and I have fear of breaking my neck while still alive. If I can do it on a wall like that and go that quickly, I'll do it. I explore my options every fucking day.

Do you reckon it hurts? Just looks painful but it probs isnt if you hit that carotid artery. Seems a lot of people go this way i just wish i had the balls. Id have to knock myself out somehow with it round my neck just to be sure haha

back in 2010 some Swedish guy killed himself by partial suspension hanging live over his webcam, he mentioned before his final attempt that it felt "pleasurable" to strangle himself, this motivated me to replicate his attempt to see for myself if I could kill myself and feel good while doing it. after about 5 seconds I was on the verge of blacking out, but there was so much pressure in my head that it felt like it was going to explode, and worse than that I had a very sharp and intense abdominal pain, and this is what stopped me from fully committing to the attempt.
Perhaps fasting 24-48hrs before hanging would alleviate this abdominal pain I experienced?

Last year I tried partial a few times. One of those times I was lucky enough to hit the carotid and my vision started to go dark within about 8 seconds. No pain or anything. Adrenaline doesn't let you feel much.

What happens when you don't hit the carotid?

You will die slower if you lose your carotid. You can die of asphyxiation, which is pretty bad, taking up to 5/12 minutes to pass out and then die. If you hit the carotid artery, which carries blood with oxygen and nutrients to the brain, you go out (become unconscious) in 8/15 seconds and die later. Look, it's pretty hard for someone to die of asphyxiation. If you tie the right knot with the right rope, death is quick and painless.

I am just guessing from what i read, But i tried a few times partial hanging while lying in bed and obviously missed carotid.

You'll notice right away if you miss the carotid. The sensation is similar when someone is choking/strangling you.

The girl in the video didnt even tried to free herself.

Hit carotid = 5 secs and sleep. Lacks oxygen.

Miss carotid = your hands will instinctively try to free you. Theres still oxygen passing in your brain, you just feel pressure on your neck part.

Slipknot or some other knot?

Does anyone know the % of how often people fail to hit the carotid?

From what I read in previous guides, it sounds like you cut off circulation in the jugular which leads to the sensation you described. The jugular returns the deoxygenated blood back to the heart so instead of robbing the brain of circulation, this results in blood being trapped causing the "going to explode" feeling that you described. Not sure how to avoid it, but maybe check some anatomy pictures to see where the jugular is and try to avoid compressing that area. Not sure about the cause of the abdominal pain tho.

The expression "hit ones carotid" makes only sense if you try to block the blood flow with your finger. As the carotids as well as the jugulars run along the neck and the noose embraces the neck, so there will be always an intersection point between the rope and each carotid and each jugular. You only have to place the knot on the back of your neck and use your full body weight to produce the pressure on your neck.

Still sounds like it's just a matter of seconds before none of that is felt or matters

Tied off the noose I think meant that the noose was securely anchored so she couldn't free herself.
I think she meant to ctb and it wasn't just experimenting.
