Hello,

I've finally been able to do a slip knot required for hanging.

I want to know how tight do I want to keep the ligature/conecting point (Image attached)?

Also, my rope seems a bit too long, would that affect me being fully suspended from fan?

Cheers,
Eashan

This is how it looks. Is the haning setup okay?

Don't I need to attach the free end of the rope to somewhere? Otherwise it'll just get pulled and rope will fall off?

Oh those are convulsions? [in the hanging videos]

Let me check out some resources on what to do with free end of the rope.

Can't I do partial hanging with the fan?

This method is technical as I had thought. Might have to do some dry runs and practice.

You feel like attaching the free end of the rope because you have not properly secured it to your anchor point. You should tie it to the ceiling hook not the fan blades. Like this.... but tie the rope with a knot on the hook

Okay, I've tried setting up an anchor point on the fan. Is this alright? Or will it slip?

One end as anchor and other end as slipknot?

What about the role length? I think it is too much?

I doubt that would hold but the only way to know if an anchor point is sturdy enough is to test it by holding on to it and swinging on it with your full body weight for some time.
