I was trying to think of a way and wondering if this will work. I have one of those beds that moves to sit up and also for the legs (like a medical bed). Well, I have experimented with tying a strap to the bottom rail behind the head side and placing the other side of the strap around my neck with a limited length. If I use the remote to life my head up, it comes to a point where the strap no longer has any slack and the constant pressure of the bed frame won't allow me to move. I figure if I tie my left foot to the left foot side of the bed and my right hand to the right side next to me, to where I can't reach over because my left foot will not allow me to reach over. I would use the remote to move up to put pressure on my neck and I would go as far as I could and then toss the remote off to the left side of the bed. I wouldn't be able to reach the remote because my right hand would be tied to right side and I wouldn't be able to reach over to untie my hand because my left foot would be tied to opposite corner- this may give me time to pass out and that's it. I know it sound complicated to describe without a drawing, but to me, I wouldn't be able to do anything once I toss the remote.
my other idea is to use a ratchet strap and place something around my neck to put pressure on my cardio arteries while I ratchet the strap. Have you ever tried to release a ratchet strap? Its not quick. I figured I would pass out before I could do anything.
I keep leaning toward some sort of choke hold method that will allow me to pass out relatively quick and I'm done. My problem is figuring out how to have someone else find me beside my wife or parents. I would prefer some sort of medical professional since they are first, a stranger, and second, probably have been exposed to death. I don't want to traumatize my family any more than need be.
