Method Gun Choice

Hey yall. I've been thinking of suicide for a while now and I've come to the conclusion that guns are the way to go. Problem is, I don't know which one to go with. I live in America which makes the process of purchasing any sort of firearm very easy. I want a strong gun, preferably a handgun that won't completely blow my head off. I don't want it to be messy. Gun recommendations?

Also you want a strong gun but not one enough that would blow your head off? Why do you care? The cleaning lady? There's always a chance you survive the gunshot and live an even worse life

Shotguns are the best to go with since they destroy the head. There's almost no chance of failing with a shotgun; the only downside in that regard is that it's awkward to get at the trigger if the barrel is in your mouth.

I don't think you fully grasp firearms. No handgun will totally destroy your head, especially with standard ammo. There's no such thing as a weak gun. The weakest is probably .22 guns made for hunting smaller animals, but they are still weapons that can kill. Any handgun can kill you, especially if you hold it directly to your head.
Also keep in mind that you will have to go through a background check when purchasing one. If you've ever been involuntarily hospitalized for example, you can't get one without a lot of extra work

Don't be so sure. S&W 500 will turn a head into a cantaloupe. Probably just as effective as a shotgun.

.22 LR can definitely kill but you probably want at least 9mm. The bigger the better I'd say. I wouldn't want to survive a headshot personally.

I second a shotgun as being the best way to go if using a firearm. I know it doesn't meet your criteria of producing a "non-messy" result, but it lessens the chance, dramatically, of being unsuccessful, possibly resulting in being in even a worse situation than you are now. Good luck to you.

I've watched afew videos and can confirm. It is also possible to construct a shotgun out of pipes.

If you make one out of pipes, then the barrel could be made shorter to make it easier to reach the trigger. A shorter barrel also means more force, so there's even less chance of fucking up.

Personally I still would not recommend it, especially if you have relatives.

Look, I understand that you want a death that is not messy. BUT, what is worse: being crippled and having your face blown off or having a messy death? Suicide with a shotty has a 99.1% rate to succeed, it's also quick and not that painful. Let's hope you live in a pro-gun state.
