This post has been a week in the making. I wanted to make sure I did not hear from her before I said anything. And despite how much we both wanted to, I unfortunately did not have the ability to be with her in a call when it was her time. But it is with a heavy heart that I feel I can now confirm user been_ready's passing.
Many of you may not know her, she was an under the radar user. She didn't much engage in the chat, she didn't comment too often or make posts of her own. We both joined this forum around the same time and it was maybe because of this that we became so close. We talked as much as we could, shared about our lives and what led us here, we kept each other company and gave each other a place to belong. If you were lucky enough to have known her and talked with her then you know she was a truly beautiful soul. I've met many wonderful people here but she was the only one I was able to connect with on a deeper level - I'm not much of a talker to be quite honest. But I felt at home with her around.
She wanted me to share her process as much as I was able. She initially wanted me to be there with her for comfort and to document her process for others on this forum, but I was not able to be there. So everything I relay here will be the limited knowledge I have from our private messages. She deactivated her account shortly before starting her process so I have no information on what it looked like for her.
She used DMC brand SN. It was not tested prior to use. Her method was fairly standard from what was told to me. She used an AirBnB for privacy purposes and to limit risk of emergency services being called. She did not use benzos. Faster for 8 hours. Took 10mg Meto three hours prior to starting (did not use stat dose method). Took 600mg ibuprofen 1hr before. Took hydroxyzine in place of benzos (did not say dose) 30min before. Prepared 3 cups of SN. This was the last bit of information before deactivating. She has not returned to this forum in that time, so while it's possible she survived I do not believe she did.
It's strange coming to this forum still without her here, she was a great source of comfort to me. I'm very grateful to have known her and had her company in my darkest days. I hope only that she is at peace now. I'll be thinking of her until my time comes, too. Thank you for everything my friend. You will be missed dearly. And thank you to everyone here for giving her a community in her final days to be part of.
