Discussion Goodbye Dear Flabby!

When I joined this site in December it was very confusing at first, and I became friends with Dear Flabby.

We bonded over our illnesses, we both had fibromyalgia, both had unsupportive family situations, there were many similarities between us.

Very soon we became friends in the real world, via Whatsapp and email, she was in Canada and me in the UK but we communicated multiple times every day.

I told her all my problems, she told me hers, and we created a bond.

The time for me to CTB came and went due to childcare issues, she was going to support me through my suicide, so when the date arose for her to CTB I naturally wanted to be beside her via Whatsapp.

Dear Flabby was in contact with me all day yesterday, the time difference is huge, so I stayed up through the night to support her.

She ingested her SN (described as a gulp of sea water) and became nauseous with feelings of dizziness.

She laid on the bed a short while afterwards, we said our goodbyes and how we loved each other.

It always feels so unreal. I'm really going to miss her. I knew it was coming but it's still hard. I hope her suffering is finally over for her. It's good you were here for her. This must be terribly tough for you.

I never care for a person's reason for ctbing, but it always hurt to see a person go. It takes a great deal of courage to go through the act and it reminds me of how courageous a person truly is. May she R.I.P. and I hope her passing was as painless as possible.

As much as missing a fellow member is sad, I am glad she had the chance to both take such a good method to CTB, being SN, and that she had your company until the last moments. You are an incredible person, and I assure you, your beautiful action will not go unnoticed by our Lord. He will hold you on great steem, both to keep you safe on this harsh times... or to receive you in open arms on the Heavens... where you'll meet each other once again. Remember, this was not a farewell, but a simple goodbye. You'll be together, perhaps in a long time or maybe soon, but until then, rest in peace knowing what a great deed you did that night, and what a great human being you are.
Thank you for sharing this story, hearing about a death by SN, seeing as I just bought two kilos of it, is reassuring.

Don't be sad. She is looking at you right now, forever thankful for what you did for her. And when the time comes... she will hug you and thank you personally.

I love you. Be safe. And most importantly, be calm, knowing what you did for her, and that our Lord deeply appreciates your sacrifice... yes, sacrifice, what you did took a part of your soul off you, nothing less would describe what you did there.

Goodbyes here are hard (I hate this). Flabbs is so sweet and whimsical and straightforward and cool. She is so part of us. I never cry, but, well.. bit messed up.. can't really write..

I played that song just as our communication stopped, its a beautiful song, I have always loved it.
