I love horror films. Preferably something with a good story, but gore relaxes me. Lets me work out my anger through a the screen. Any suggestions, and I'm up for foreign films too!

There's a Korean horror film called Hansel and Gretel, it's from 2007 so it's a little older but it's such a good movie! You can watch it here with English subtitles ^^

Have you seen Hereditary? It did a great job of picking apart the psyche and creating a sense of unease.

The only recent one that actually made an impression on me is the Babadook. Couldn't sleep with the lights off but hooked nonetheless.

This one is from the early 90's but it's my favorite, Candyman! Very gory!

Sure. True old American horrors / slashers for you, mate ! Be sure to check them out :

"Sleepaway camp" (1983)
"Burning" (1981)

Of course there are dozens of others, but I watched them a lot and just can't name all of them. Those are my favorite (if we are talking of something less known)

Also, I totally recommend you some giallo as well (an Italian sub genre of horror movies). Just type this word in google and discover something old and sick !

Can't beat the original Nightmare on Elm Street. Funny story, I used to date a girl with a Freddy Krueger fetish

Inside (French version not the lame USA remake)
Martyrs(French version again!)
Incident in a ghostland
Terrifier
Upgrade (more of a sci fi thriller but very violent and fun!)
August Underground (3 movies)
AS @Help_Me said, check out some old school giallo! Dario Argento was my favourite director back in the day, Tenebre was a good one. Enjoy!

I love horror movies. I often see in them an allegory of the human condition : a victim who has asked nothing and finds himself in a trap Machiavellian ...

I would spontaneously advise Saw, Leatherface, Hostel, Pig Hunt, Happy Hunt, Scarce, Insane, MALVEILLANCE, Wolf Creek, etc., and many others.

A service film is horrifying
It's on YouTube, there's no subtitles
Psychological horror you into that? I have some good ones for those

Be warned that August underground isn't really a movie. It's a straight up snuff film. There's no real point to it. It's like watching 2 guys 1 hammer but for 2 hours each

Good picks. I love the French Extreme movies from the 2000´s. Martyrs is like a punch to the gut, that movie stayed in my head for weeks.

I Recommend The Blackcoat´s Daughter and the Suspiria Remake, if you like a slow burn type of movie.
