I had ordered SN off amazon but the delivery people called my parents before delivering.
Reason- Born in a low-caste, poor family. Did not get to do what I wanted to in my life and the love of my life left me cause of my caste. Can't take it anymore, or delay it anymore, everyday is a torture to live.

It must suck to be born into a system you can't ever leave and always have disadvantages by default.

That's quite an amazing accomplishment! Are you positive there's no way to use your current doctorate to transfer fields and do what would make you happy? My previous boss was from India. He always wanted to be an engineer but his family was very set on him becoming a doctor. He did, but it wasn't his passion.

I just googled the caste system which I had no idea existed. It is sad that such system that leads to descrimination still exists.

I'm not Indian so obviously haven't experienced the caste system myself but know a bit about it from friends who are anti-caste activists(I'm an activist myself for various issues so just have happened to meet some activists from India). I'm sorry for your situation, it's amazing that you've achieved so much despite all the odds being against you, you must be an exceptionally bright person!

I come from a family of farmers so my dad has already seen worse in his life and expects me to shut up and succeed.

How is such a system still present in modern day India. It's very discriminatory towards the lower castes.
I feel so sad that OP finds himself trapped in such unfair system that he couldn't even be with the one he loved.
