going to try drowning on xanax and alcohol

I plan to get in the bathtub, tie a short rope around my neck attached to the temperature control knob so I can't get out of the tub, then take 100mg of xanax and drink as much as possible. My date will be next Thursday January 17. Any tips or experience trying to drown? Will I be likely to try to save myself while blacked out?

I'd like to use this xanax to help with suicide and will likely have difficulty acquiring any more, so I need to make sure it works.

An idea I just had is to turn the water on and fill the tub really slowly. That way I won't actually be submerged until I'm fully unconscious. Once I die the excess water will go down the overflow drain so I don't need to worry about water damage afterwards

Drowning in a bathtub is pretty hard unless you have a gigantic tub.

sounds risky to me. alls fine and well if you pass out, but if something goes wrong and you dont, you're stuck and forced to drown and i heard thats not a pretty way to go

Too much booze and you'll throw up. Fill the tub as you take the Xanax. Position yourself so when you pass out, your head will end up under water. Danger is drowning will be so unpleasant you wake up and get out of tub.

Maybe you should tie one of your arms to the tub as well? You have to prevent your survival instinct taking over and starting to pull you out of the bath. If your hands are tied, your fate is set.

This MIGHT actually work but not sure. Xanax fucks you up right and proper I took too many before and cant remember a fucking thing about the following 12 hours or so. Youll just be sitting there and it's like you don't exist any more (and if it works you wont) by the way I took 12 bars to get in this state (not sure how many mg that is)

I did read a news article of a doctor who did ctb this way. They took benzodiazepines and were found "drowned" in the bathtub. If I can find the article I'll link it up.

I wouldn't underestimate your survival instinct, it's not unrealistic that you unconsciously take off the rope and get out the tub to vomit all the booze. There's a lot your body can do on autopilot, might wanna handcuff yourself as well if you're planning of going this route.

I don't know; have you taken any benzodiazepines before? It depends on your tolerance levels to those sorts of drugs I think x

Just wanted to,agree justaboutdone on this. I,could easily take 20mg of Xanax and be fine. In fact some 25 years ago I swallowed a whole bottle - don't remember strength, but I drove home. But if you've not got any tolerance, well, I just don't know...

From my experience, 20mg isn't quite enough. I'd say to completely lose all ability to wake up, you need over 50mg, preferably 100 or more.

I only took a few times benzo so my tolerance is low. I will probably do this on Friday night in the freezing see. Brrrrr gonna be tough but I can't take it anymore.

Thanks for your answer. Sadly I can't get more then 20mg. I'll probably a dd some valium that might do the tricks.

Do a basic google search folks! Most prescription drugs are next to impossible to ctb on because you need to take a TON of it to OD.

As @Stillnotsure says OD is a very unreliable method as there are so many variables and it seems a vast amount of mg are needed. Perscription drugs these days are not the same as the old days of barbiturates.

I'm undecided, but after two failed attempts of ODing on valium, grapefruit juice, and booze (first one almost worked because I aspirated but was found... second attempt was ust an uneventful nap...), I'm considering this as well. My bathtub is relatively small, but I have 300 mg of valium on hand plus a full bottle of methocarbamol. I worry that trying to submerge and drown at the moment it begins to kick in will mean that I just flop out 2 seconds before passing out for 10 hours on the bathroom floor, but since my tub has a safety drain, I'm thinking that if i get into the right position and let the tub fill slowly that it'll give my body time to let the valium, alcohol, and methocarbamol work it's way into my system so that by the time my face is submerged I'll be too knocked out for SI to do anything.

I know I've read at least one article saying that a "surprisingly high" number of people die each year from getting drunk and drowning in hot tubs, so add some benzos, muscle relaxants, and actual intent and I'm hoping it's a possibility to consider.
