Hello all. I would just like to say that I appreciate everything, and you guys are so nice. My method is exit bag with inert gas; I chose helium as it's the only gas I have access to. I hope this works. I don't know if it will; I'll get back with you all if I fail. I don't have everything down right; I looked at the method and I'm not doing it quite right, but this is the best option I have. If my relatives find this account, I just want you to know that this site was not the cause of my death; it actually helped me calm down with some feelings I had previous to this. I feel a horrible loneliness, and I'm currently going through a terrible bout of depression. I don't know if this will be the end for me. I hope it is. I hope you all have a good day.

Just a word of caution, are you sure the helium you have is of high purity? I've heard from others that almost (if not all) helium sold comes with a lot of mixed air exactly to prevent people from trying to CTB off of helium.

Just a word of caution, are you sure the helium you have is of high purity? I've heard from others that almost (if not all) helium sold comes with a lot of mixed air exactly to prevent people from trying to CTB off of helium.

Ah thanks for letting me know, I was under the assumption high purity helium was very difficult to get a hold of. Although saying industrial, is industrial helium still pretty difficult to get a hold of? I've personally never tried searching for helium before because most people just recommend Nitrogen instead.

Nitrogen is perfectly viable, in fact the EXIT International tests to determine de optimal flow rate were done using Air, which has virtually the same weight as Nitrogen. Nitrogen is also basically mandatory for SCBA/SCUBA setups, since those setups use Air regulators.

Nuking like that happens every day in the literal stars, like the good old sun, but it's generally advised against to make things like that happen or Earth

Pure helium is hard to obtain. It is often mixed with 20% oxygen and 80% helium. It is called Heliox. It is cheaper and breathable. It will still float balloons. Sorry for the bad news.
The days of buying party balloon helium tanks are gone.

Pretty sure the party helium in Amazon UK is pure but the US Amazon is mixed

There's this formula for counting how effective a birth control method is "if the users followed it perfectly" and how effective it is in real life.
We need something like that for exit methods INCLUDING people who bought nitrate, people who used helium with 20% of oxygen in it, etc. Of course there's no shame in having second thoughts, or getting scammed if you didn't do anything reckless. But some people here seem to care more about which extras to take on their pizza than about their ctb method.

fuck. fuck. I was going to use balloon helium, but it was empty. goddammit. It probably wouldn't have worked anyways. I wish I had access to a gun; my grandpa has many, but I have no idea how to get to them. I still live with my grandparents, and they still control my purchases, so I couldn't get any other gas. If I had a gun, I would certainly be dead by now. I also tried hanging myself after that failed, but got too scared. I don't know what other options I have. I'm still super suicidal, but I have no outlet as nothing is working. Unfortunately, I'm still alive.

The problem is that helium makes up such a tiny percentage of air that is not feasible to extract it, so once we release it it is essentially unusuable. Helium is also so light that it can escape from our atmosphere in to space.
Most of the helium that is purified for use in gas mixtures comes from underground sources such as part of natural gas and reservoirs of gas due to radioactive decay.
