I am going to CTB in the next few days while staying at a hotel next to the sea. I have 3 possible plans: drowning, hanging and jumping. However jumping is LAST RESORT.
Advantage of drowning over hanging is there is less chance of being discovered and "saved", and also I'm not very confident with knots and positioning. I don't have a rope, but I have a scarf, a towel and a bedsheet as well as string which I could easily use. Not sure what ligature points will be available in the hotel room, but once I get there I will ask for advice from you guys.

This is my drowning suicide plan:
1. Go to beach and drink 2 litres of vodka (I also have at least 1 weeks supply of zopiclone if this would be useful to help achieve unconsciousness in addition to the alcohol??). After reading the post about drowning (https://sanctioned-suicide.net/threads/drowning-my-method.17545/#post-332956), I questioned whether I should instead take a rucksack with me when I swim out and drink the alcohol/take the pills once I have swum far enough out - please let me know what you think would be better.
2. Swim out to sea till I can't go any further out guaranteeing I can't swim back. Then just float (or possibly keep swimming out - if I still have the strength??). Eventually, a combination of the cold and the alcohol/ sleeping pills will make me lose consciousness and I'll drown.

NOTE - water temperature of the sea is 44 degrees Fahrenheit or 6.2 degrees Celsius, so will on its own cause death in 1-3 hours

It would be great to get your thoughts and advice on this method, as well as whether you think hanging would be a better option for me, given the drawbacks I mentioned. Please let me know what you think and PM me or reply to this post with any advice you have or answers to my questions!

Thanks so much, all support greatly appreciated:) ❤️

My question is.. How far do you need to swim and are you really going to be able to swim any distance in that cold, especially carrying a backpack?

I've been in very cold (UK wintertime sea and fresh) water, and it doesn't take long for your hands to become next to useless. It would certainly be difficult to open a bottle after the swim.

Also, another risk is being spotted. It would look very odd to see someone swimming out wearing a backpack, especially if you swim at night, and I think someone would phone it in if they saw you.
