Nothing worked out once again but that's expected at this point, I'm currently sitting in the Las Vegas international airport as I write this waiting for my flight back to Massachusetts. This state is fucking brutal and should have done more research before traveling here to start a new life. There is trash from one end of the city to the other, an endless amount of disgusting cockroaches that crawl all over you when you try to rest, pretentious drunk assholes who walk around all day and feel the need to look at you like you have 8 heads, you can't stay outside for more than 10 minutes without getting dehydrated even after drinking a large amount of water. Theres nothing really special about Vegas and I do not know why people put on this huge facade about it, it's just like any other city besides having the privilege to drink in public which isn't anything really special unless you're an alcoholic. The only thing I will miss here is the pot shop that's just outside of the strip and In & Out Burger, nothing more nothing less... Did I enjoy my experience here in Vegas? Well for the first few days I did, but after that God saw that everything was going too smoothly and rubbed his hands together...

C'mon. Give us a little taste
People fighting/ vomiting all over the place, a couple in the hotel I was staying at were fighting all fucking day and night and people on the strip going at it, being offered strip club cards by cocaine dealers (bag of coke under the cards in his hands) watching people fall over drunk andknock down everything in fro t of them, people who shouldn't be parents letting their children run around screaming and getting lost between the big crowds, seeing woman my age hollering "Baby", hey baby" At older men hoping they would be their sugar daddies, prostitutes & hookers all over the place trying to get attention, even mine (gross)

That just about sums up my experience in Las Vagas

The conservative party in the UK are forever talking about a 'bonfire of regulations'. Vegas is what rises from those ashes.

Everyone should see it at least once, its a monument to humanity's dark side as much as Auswitch.

our first holiday abroad was to Las Vegas, was around 2007. My partner described it the best. it was like a love child between a porno movie and an alien. the place was just eek. beyond fake.

But you are right been_there everyone does need to see it once.. just to make then realize how good there own town/city is in comparison :)
Still love America. just not that state :-)

What did you do for a living there? My dream is to move to move to LA, I want to act. But I'm not even a US citizen and getting a residency with a work permit in US is almost impossible so that's probably not gonna happen, since I'm killing myself maybe it was meant to be this way.

Agreed, place fucking sucks and is praised way much more than it should be, I mean it's just a city in the middle of scenic desolation

I agree, full of fake ostentatious assholes who look for attention, and can only have fun by drinking and partying all day, I really feel bad for their empty souls

I was working retail, the company I worked for in mass is owned by the company that I was going to work for in Vegas, and go out and live your dreams dude

I won a trip to Vegas about 10 yrs ago to play poker in the WSOP side event, called the OFC. All expenses paid. I had flights and accommodation sorted, went for the travel insurance and found it to be extortionate. Needless to say I never got there. But after all the stuff I have read and seen about the place, I dont think I missed much to be honest.

Have a safe journey back home.

Sounds like you're just describing the strip. I lived there for 18 years and I can tell you that it's not all like that.

If you think Vegas is a representation of Nevada then you need to think again. There's much more to the state

You most likely didn't, nothing new seems to be opening up at the moment besides a few restaurants, and thank you
