Hi, new here but have been lurking for a while, (mostly around the hanging threads) but finally decided to make an account. ( I think I recently saw something along the same lines of what I'm posting about here, but I can't seem to find it now. Sorry if I'm creating a repetitive thread. )
Any who, ever since I saw the video of the guy who explains that choking isn't a game and has the girl basically show how easy it is to go unconscious with the siphon effect (YTube: How the choking game kills demonstrated) I've been obsessed with trying to figure out what she has around her neck. As many people have stated before me, the ease with which she just passes out seems too good to be true, and I think it's mostly b/c of what she has around her neck (and of course not having a SI kick in and knowing she will be saved if things go "wrong") which would be totally "right" for us trying to CBT this way.
So for a while I focused my search on thick, padded, neck brace like products. I even searched for restraint collars people use for sex, but those don't seem to be padded or wide enough. Today though I think i happened to come across something really close to what she has on and wanted to share it with the community.
These are ankle straps I found at Dicks Sporting Goods store for $8.99. Yes I know, super cheap. They are not as padded as hers, so maybe not as comfy, but honestly what are we expecting here? Comfort while dying? Ha! They close with velcro, but it's super stickie and could be modified to stay closed better somehow, I'm sure, like putting a buckle on it or something. They already have a ring, which you could easily tie a rope to and the end of it to wherever you want to dangle from. Just make sure to put the ring at the back of the neck like hers was.
Anyway, the reason I focused on this item is b/c after watching that video 100 times and learning all the info from you guys about hanging from the Mega-thread and others, it seems to me the thick strap MIGHT be better at appling a more EVEN pressure than rope when leaned into like she does, mimicking a choke hold and perhaps will more easily compress the carotid arteries. I've tried to find the sweet spot with no luck and perhaps this way would be less painful than a full suspension with rope which is what I was planning bc I feel like thats pretty foolproof and I can't have any failures. These seem like a plausible alternative and a pretty close item to mimic her hanging setup. Interested to see what people think.
