So, a lot of members here report feeling better after having a CTB method within reach. Users report experiencing huge relief and comfort from just knowing that they have that option available to them.

Could this potentially be useful in helping with recovery?

I've considered that. But personally, when things get bad, I start to feel much more desperate and tend to think that if I had lethal means in reach, I would 100% use them then and there. Plus N has an expiration date so I would feel "pressured" to use it quickly or risk "losing" my money. Not the best strategy for staying alive (at least for me).

Having an escape button does give you the ability to go on longer. There's no doubt about that but I also think it kind of solidifies that one day, that's where things will end so if recovery is the goal it depends on what your definition of recovery is. We all die eventually after all. So maybe it could be useful if it gives you enough time to get you long enough through your natural life to warrant recovery. Depends how impulsive you are. Not gonna suit everyone. I think it's more useful if you're the logical calculated type. When natural causes come knocking its probably going to be a godsend to have that escape button on hand. Storing N properly is said to give it a pretty long shelf life.

I think it might depend on your underlying issues and personality type. I recall one person who "sampled" their SN while drunk(?) and then took a full dose (also while drunk?) and did CTB, basically in an impulsive, unplanned way. I wish I could relocate that thread.

I've found that it reduces the sense of absolute dread of fearing decades of intense suffering with no escape hatch. I'm happy to have my N from D sitting there. Whether I'll actually recover or not I cannot say.

I think having SN available- for me- gave me some sense of control over my life, and led me to be a lot calmer and more rational. I was no longer desperately grasping or fighting with things - in the back of my mind I knew that if things got too bad- I can escape the situation permanently. And I'm less likely to do something impulsive to CTB- it's helped me formulate a logical plan, and so I just stay calm until the day arrives when I know it's time to end everything

I totally agree. I want to buy N to calm down and be able to exit at any moment. I'm not impulsive, I won't drink it spontaneously. If the expiration date expires, I will buy a new one. What is the shelf life N?

That's understandable but you have to consider the very real possibility that N could not be available indefinitely. There is only one known legitimate supplier right now. The history of N suppliers has been up and down but there's been much better times than this. I'm so disappointed to have missed the availability of powdered N. Can't get dolethal now either. Wouldn't surprise me if the trend continues.

I'm on the fence about buying some SN "just in case." Seems to last a long time if stored in airtight container, and not too expensive. I just don't want to impulsively CTB.

If you're impulsive I'd say don't do it. If you do make a purchase (perhaps because of potential future unavailability) make it a long/laborious process to access your SN once you have it by storing it away from your home or perhaps splitting it up into multipke packages and storing them in multiple locations if possible and safe. That way you can't use it impulsively. You can probably get creative about further/more adequately making the use of it less cobducive to impulsive use.

I believe the relief, coming from my own experience, is the perceived ability of taking back the control of one's life again. It gives the individual a sense of control that, with the method in proximity, they can CTB anytime they wish.

So I think, to see it as a path to recovery is counterproductive because the relief is only temporary. The individual now is like a volatile bomb.

Yeah, the future unavailability is what scares me. N and SN are the only methods I can imagine myself using. I've also thought about making it as inconvenient as possible to access. The only thing that comes to mind is burying it in the woods behind my home.

The perceived control is so tempting. The thought of SN/N not being available in the future terrifies me. But I do think you are right. It does make one that much more likely to CTB due to ease of access.

Burying it isn't a terrible idea in fairness. There's some things to consider though. Two main ones... Environmental issues that impact the longevity/shelf life of your SN or N & how deep you bury it. It needs to be at least 3 feet to stop wildlife (foxes, badgers, coyotes etc) digging it up. That's a common issue with people burying their pets or even money and drugs in the wild. It gets dug up by wildlife or it perishes. Some people have buried millions in cash only to die and have a family member go dig it up to find its partially eaten by insects. One guy, I forget who (some rapper I think) told an interviewer about how he'd visit stores with clumps of his dead brothers buried cash and ask them to exchange it for stuff that was massively lower value because the cash was in such a bad state. The hope being that the till operator could potentially pry the clump apart and manege to find a few thousand in useable notes, making huge profit on a something worth only a fraction of that.

I guess you'd need to wrap whatever you're burying in clingfilm and leave a desicant sachet or two in there before doing so. Obviousy things like cash are more prone to moisture etc but I guess SN would be too. So yeah desiccant sachets, wrap in clingflim, box in something like a small safe/security box and bury deep in a an area with relatively mild temp fluctuations. Rapid fluctuations and high fluctuations in temps and humidity will cause degredation in most consumables. Particularly meds I'd say. To test the suitability of a site you could bury a digital thermometer (search hygrometer on the sales platform of your choice) that shows max and min temps and humidity. They're cheap and they'll last a good time on a single battery. Leave it buried for as long as you can deal with. At least a few weeks really but honestly, if you know there are large variations in westher where you are and think it will buried for many seasons its kind of a wasted effort. Granted, fluctuations in soil/ground temps are not like surface temperature. They're less drastic and tend to be cooler overall so maybe it could work out. The other option is to get a safety deposit box or storage lock up that needs significant travel to get to. They're fairly inexpensive. If you could afford it perhaps split it up between a few of them so that travel is local but still laborious. I'm just thinking out loud. There may be better options so think on it a while ha.

I bought N and the next week I used Testosterone Therapy, I still have "expired" N in the fridge, and consider buying another one... Even if overpriced, because ownership does give me a relief.
I'm kind of impulsive, but in my case, I know I would be fair on myself if I drink it one day, plus I think I won't regret passing away if I'm already dead.
I need new N, looking for it soon want to buy some things first, priorities at the moment.

Why do you say its expired? How long ago did you get it?

Because like every medicine it has an expiration date, march last year, 1 year off.... But it should be useful anyway... It's properly stored in a black box with no light in the fridge.

Yeah, no, I'm not ignorant to expiry dates. I just got the impression that maybe you'd only bought it very recently and incorrectly assumed it goes off quicker than it does. I clearly misinterpreted your post. As you said though, it should still be fine. Where did you find the expiry date? Just out of interest, because from what I've seen it's not displayed on the bottles D sends.

There's a test you can do to check it's efficacy by using drug tests and water. There's a vid somewhere. It's not super precise but it's good enough to be useful. It's one of Exits/Philip Neitzchies vids. They do say thoigh, that it only degrades by around 1% per year over expiry date. I think that may even be an over estimate. Either way it's very minimal. The way you stored it I'd guess its still perfectly good. Understandably though, you don't want to be taking any risks at guessing.

Maybe someone can link the purity test video? Please. - The one with the purified water and urine drug panel tests.

I bought nearly 3 years ago, and I do remember the date was visible either at the box or the label. I'm in Mexico and it was very difficult finding and getting it, even here. I could gladly play A here, but he doesn't sell inside the country. :/

Ah now it makes more sense. I was assuming you bought it more recently from D. Not sure if you know but A is no longer in business. It's D only now. Not sure but maybe he does ship inside Mexico. It's a shame you're not able to source it easily. Is the source you used no longer viable? Can't help wondering how hard/easy it might be to do a repeat order.

No, it can not , maybe in remote secluded places, but government made it even more difficult last year. It requires a prescription signed by doctor and pre-approved and emitted by the government. So even if you bribe, not everyone is happy to sell.

I've been pondering on buying SN now that I have the chance, even if I don't use it I feel it could give me a sense of security and reduce my dread, but I'm kinda worried I'll do something stupid since I'm not good at handling this kind of stuff. I feel so weird, I don't know if to ctb or not, my mind tells me two different things and I don't know what to make of it.

It's possible you could find and bribe a seller / with a prescription.... You never know. I will try soon, I want to have a 2nd non-expired bottle as backup, feel better with it.
