Method Getting robbed at gunpoint

My coworker's brother makes some side money fixing and flipping electronics on CL/ebay. Recently he was meeting up with someone to buy a phone from him, and apparently they met in kind of a sketchy area, and the guy pulled a gun on him and stole his money.

This got me thinking about putting myself in a position where i might get robbed, and when they pull a gun on me, I would try and fight back with my bare hands and probably end up getting killed. This would also be a better way to die since everyone would see it as an unfortunate accident instead of a suicide

Downside is it would probably take a while for anything like that to happen (if it ever did), and you'd have to keep backing out of deals when you realize the person isn't going to rob you, lol.

I know, it's a really dumb "method", but what are your thoughts?

I don't think it is a reliable way to die (similar to why suicide by cop would fail - don't do that either..) because the bad guy might not hit you in the fatal areas and even then you may end up badly injured and surviving.

Yeah you can just hire guns I believe. Pay a price, get a gun to use on the range for a day with a certain amount of ammunition.

Lol! That would be a bad idea, especially if u don't get killed. It would be too unpredictable.

Personally, I wouldn't want to do that to the people working there. It's a weird excuse I know, but I don't want to make someone's business known as 'that place where someone shot himself'.

I wouldn't even consider it. There is a good chance however is robbing with the gun may not be competent with it and hit you in a non fatal spot which will cause you to survive or endure a painful death.

They may just even cower or run away because they don't have it in them to kill somebody for little reason.

Seems a bit of a sassy way to off yourself since you're getting someone who might otherwise never kill some to do so and potentially land them a death penalty or life. At least with suicide by cop the pig won't be charged with anything and will probably even get a comfy paid vacation.

If you want an 'accidental' death by gun why not just have a hunting accident.

It happened to me when and my mom when I was little (twice). I can still feel the gun on my temple. He kept saying, "you better tell this little bitch shut up before I shoot her". I fantasize about what would have happened had I not stopped crying.

All in all, I wouldn't consider it it a great method. Way to many variables; too much could go wrong.

I have known two people who tried to get themselves killed by making loud degrading comments about Hispanics in a forbidding poor Hispanic neighborhood. Both were ignored. I asked one of them, don't you think people might be smart enough to know why you had gone there? Plenty of depressed, hurting people live there and they likely had sympathy for him.

It's not reliable, and no matter how badly you want to die, you'd probably freak out if someone was pointing a gun at your head due to the survival instinct. Also, as others pointed out, it isn't a guarantee you'd die. You could end up in a worse situation and survive. There was a governor several years ago (can't remember her name) who got shot in the head, survived, and had to relearn how to do everything.

Yes I've had this thought cross my mind a few times as well but being the quiet pessimist I always am I figure it would go wrong and I've become quadriplegic but sometimes I get this nihilism about becoming a pizza delivery driver to make ends meet and saying *uck it if I got robbed or shot. Someone got killed last year in my city he was delivering pizza and they found him in the trunk of his car.
