I want to ctb soon, but keep postponing because I'd like to deal with the mountain of material goods and garbage in my parents and friends home. It's an overwhelming task and I'm not so sure how easy it will be to deal with given our current state of Coronavirus meltdown.

Anyone else have similar issues where they don't want to burden others with stuff before they leave? I'm not going to expect them to clean up the crap I leave behind. I'm a little concerned that people will become suspicious if I start selling, giving away and throwing out stuff though.

Start up some conversations about minimalism. Do some research, act interested in it, and then it will make sense why you're getting rid of a ton of your stuff.

I don't leave nothing behind. I have been choosing stuff and already throwed some old junk to the garbage, sold some videogames and electronics, but i still got all the main stuff as i still don't know when i will be gone.
My probably is i still live with my mom and i don't drive. I have no way of transporting stuff to a place where i can destroy it. I would prefer to burn everything, me included.

Hello, giving out stuff - the greatest sign that you are planning to go. Avoid at any cost if you do not live alone.

Not exactly the same concern, but I've wondered if writing a will at a fairly-young age gets one flagged for more surveillance by law enforcement...

I hope you can get that done the way you want, I wonder if there might be any other escapes from your current-life besides physical-death, wishing you peace either way

Have lots of crap too. My excuse will be that I'm unhoarding and simplifying. It won't look too suspicious since you actually have a mountain of stuff to get rid of.

If I were you I wouldn't worry about selling and getting rid of thing. If asked just say your downsizing cause you got too much stuff.

I have some things I need to do as well. I made a five part bucket list. Each part though is hard to do. The fifth thing on the list is to kick the bucket painlessly. So I've been working on 1-4 for 3.5 years now. I've completed 1 and 2. Still working on 3 and 4. It's not easy. Patience is being tested as people waste my time during this process. Not knowing they are delaying my exit. Plus the virus makes everything take longer.

Damn, congrats on the planning & progress!
Every time I get started, something redirects my attention. But like computer and cosmetology school, it may take me years to complete, but eventually I'll get it done.

Thank you. Let those redirections be more interesting and enjoyable. It's a way to growth for us, whatever happens

Also if you're young, stay a while. This ride can change drastically. Ten years from now you may be very glad to be alive. Let the diversions be a sign to enjoy the ride

I hope not! Everyone should have a healthy awareness and acceptance of the fact that they could die at any time, and should be prepared for it. Writing a will at a young age should be as normal as having life insurance.

@Disintegration maybe you could start moving things into a storage unit? Or at the very least, gathering it all in one place? Especially if they are things you rarely use. Even if you plan to stay alive longer, having a cleaner space could be nice. Out of sight, out of mind.
