The worst genes the could be passed on are the unhappy genes. Doesn't matter if you are smart, rich, physically stunning or whatsoever if you are not satisfied with life.
-----
My genes make me discontent with life and inclined to think in a pessimistic way. Therefore I have suicidal thoughts.
You tell me I should learn to appreciate the nice little things and life and adjust my mentality. However, I don't want to/am unable to because of the "don't want to adjust" genes in me.
I proceed to destroy my academic pursuit/career because that is what my genes compel me to do.
I proceed to push away everyone who tries to care for me again because of my genes.
You then tell me I'm not being responsible of myself and using genetic determinism as an excuse. But perhaps again it's the genes taking effect.
-----
Does anybody here feel more of less the same about genetic determinism here? It's kind of difficult to properly describe what it is, but for sure, it's an interesting yet haunting theory --- basically meaning there is no free will because everything are "meant to be". However, I suppose this theory perhaps could make people who want to ctb less guilty though.
