The wording of this confused me a little bit, so to clarify are you a gay guy who wants a vagina for sexual satisfaction, or a trans woman who is seeking out bottom surgery and genuinely wanting to pass as a woman? No judgement either way, but that will change how you approach this.
A few things beyond the scope of that: when you say gender reassignment surgery, I'm assuming you mean vaginoplasty since you mention feeling fulfilled sexually. However there are a lot of different gender-affirming surgeries that don't have anything to do with genitals. Going on estrogen would be the first step in a traditional medical MTF transition because that is what will feminize you the most. It's also the most accessible and doesn't require any surgeries. But ofc there are loads of other surgeries you can get, all up to you. FFS, voice feminization, vaginoplasty, breast implant, hair transplant, laser hair removal, filler, and plenty more I'm sure I don't know about. So vaginoplasty alone, no it is unlikely you would pass as a woman. There's really no telling exactly what will/won't make you pass as that is going to vary by person. Some people just go on estrogen and that's it. Some do a lot of different procedures. Some get really good at makeup and voice training. And some don't want to pass at all, and that's ok too!
So as for people being able to "tell," that isn't something anyone can really know until you try. But if transitioning will make you happy, then that's what matters.
Also sorry but @tonicer I have to disagree with you here. I genuinely believe that it's never too late to transition and never too late to try to make your body into one you would feel most comfortable in. In terms of transition timelines for bottom surgery, 32 is quite a normal age for that. Getting surgeries well into your 40s isn't uncommon in trans communities. Some even older. It all depends on what the person wants. It may be worth it for some, and not for others, but 32 is definitely not "too late." I am FTM and almost 23 with no surgeries yet. I won't live long enough to be able to get any, but if I did I would likely not be completing my bottom surgery until into my thirties since the procedure I want requires minimum three stages.
Anyway I think you might want to research more on this and think about what it is you're truly wanting out of a serious procedure like this.
