• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

    👉 View the ledger here

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

    Donate via cryptocurrency:

    Bitcoin (BTC):
    Ethereum (ETH):
    Monero (XMR):

Found SaSu after reading BBC & watching YouTube

I am going to put out there something you should know and I wouldn't expect other people to know.

Every time someone posts a video like that one here, it loads all of YouTube's tracking protocols, including trying to determine WebGL, and then links that to a user's IP origination.

So if you are using Chrome to access SaSu and you see a random video about forgiveness from YouTube and watch it, and then if you start seeing ads about mental health recovery, anti-depressants, and better health while watching YouTube, that is not random. It means YouTube determined who you are, that you are suicidal, and has monetized that. It is also very unclear where that data goes and it may be sold to many other partners and even governments.

It's a good video, but it's not behind anything to prevent it from loading automatically and doesn't warn people.

In your defense, people who don't have anti-tracking policies in place and use Chrome are already so fucked anyway that it may not matter.

Ooo, didn't consider that, added the spoiler tag. This should also reduce bandwidth used by people who wouldn't click the video.
