I injected myself with 2cc of horse tranquilizer at 7pm last night. .25cc is enough to knock my 1800lb horse out. I started feeling dizzy and passed out but obviously it didn't work because I woke up feeling fine. WTF. How can I feel fine? My horse would have been on the ground. I just don't get it. I wasn't prepared for this, I thought surely I wouldn't wake up.

Sucks you didn't get the result you wanted, but it's good if you're not in pain atm because of the failure. I know nothing about this stuff so I have nothing of value to contribute, but I hope you figure things out one way or another.

By the way, is your horse going to be okay if you go? I'm always worried about people leaving their animals behind.. :/

I have no knowledge of horse tranqs but holy shit God must be trolling the hell out of you. Stuff that would knock a horses dick in the dirt only gave you a cat nap.

Either try a new method or do a higher dose of the tranqs.

What is the name of the drug used to tranquilize them. Is it like anesthetics that they use on humans for surgery? If so I don't think it would be lethal. It's not used to euthanize horses right? Just makes them sleep?

If the horse tranquiliser was ketamine, you won't die from it but may destroy your bladder. If it was xylazine or similar then you're going to struggle to die from that. If it was an opioid (e.g. fentanyl) then you will die from a high enough dose. If it was a benzodiazepine (e.g. diazepam) then you won't die from any dose. All of these are effective sedatives though.

Regardless of what it is, it is unlikely to kill you if injected from a liquid that is dilute and intended to tranquilise, not kill. Assuming it contained something which is lethal at a high enough dose, drinking it all would be the only way to get to the unintended lethal range. How many CCs were in the total bottle, and what was the drug?

It is dormosedan. I have read stories of people who injected tiny amounts and had severe effects. Apparently not enough. Now I feel stupid. The bottle has 5ml total.

Okay it seems Dysphoria you would be an expert (next to me anyway!) on possible methods with OD pills etc...
Do you know of anything please that I could get easy over the counter (legal and non-prescription)??

I read Tylenol OD is a really painful exasperating way to try that fails often... ? Why is it so hard to die?
Isn't there anything over the counter that's not excruciatingly painful??

Anyway. OP I hope you are ok. I know that sounds ironic and not the kind of support you are looking for but. Man. You musta been serious. I can't understand why you woke up either but. huh. Unless you are a Vet I don't think you will get a second chance to get your hands on that tranq. I wonder to. - Is the horse still alive and how did you get your hands on this horse tranq in the first place?

If you are sad for the loss of your horse my condolences. That would be very difficult. Horses are such empathetic creatures.* hugs *
