Hi guys,

Thank you for accepting me to SS.

I am looking to purchase a Nitrogen tank (99.9% purity) but which volume should I get?

I not sure if this helps but i am Female, 1.6 meters tall and 60kg in weight. Lungs are perfectly normal.

So I have 2 options:

1. 10L Nitrogen Tank - 150 Bar
2. 47L Nitrogen Tank - 150 Bar

10L is obviously more compact and I am thinking of using it in my car in a secluded area with an exit bag.

47L is around 1.5 meters and weigh 60kg, which makes it a little impossible to carry it around. But I can set up a portable bed and sleep with an exit bag.

For my size/weight, which capacity of nitrogen will work for me?

I will also be purchasing a regulator to make sure the flow rate can be adjusted.

Thank you!

Hi.
Sounds like you have more than enough Nitrogen there which comes in around at 1500 Ltrs for the 10 Ltr cylinder. I can't really post any links or refer you to sites as it's the rules here but the resources sections does hold a wealth of information that you will find very useful. Good luck.

In that case I will get the 10L cylinder as it makes more sense due to its portability!
I would also like to hear what you guys have to say about my setup!

1. Purchase a 2 pieces of 2m x 3m bag
2. Put a chair and 1 x 10L of nitrogen cylinder (150 bar) in the 2m x 3m bag
3. I will enter and sit on the chair
4. Secure the ends of the bag from inside with a cable tie and towel to prevent leaks
5. Consume some sleeping pills and release the Nitrogen gas

What do you think of this idea?
Reason why I use a double bag idea, was to prevent myself from ripping it apart, and also it is not right on my face, so I assume it will be more difficult to rip it out out of natural reflexes.

Questions
Q1: Is the bag too big? Will I need more nitrogen gas?
Q2: Should I also do an exit mask for my head?
Q3: What should be the ideal flow rate to set it on?
Q4: Should I get 2 x 10L tank? But the regulator is so expensive!

Hi again.

My set up was reasonably cheap. Well in total it came to around £250 with delivery charges.

I personally would not enter a plastic bag and seal both ends and then turn a cylinder on.

There has to be done element of space for free flow as the bag would just inflate and most probably burst.

The exit bag sounds good.
Now flow rate if using a Nitrogen Cylinder and a Nitrogen flow meter would come in at 20 LPM. How ever if using an Argon Regulator like I am you would need to adjust to around 15 LPM.

One tank of 10 Ltr is good enough. There are many other items you would need to purchase to complete your set up.
Also whilst the bag is filling you would need to expel all of the air from your lungs before placing said bag over your head. For added security I will be using cable ties to secure my hands as I fear I will conulse. And I will be wearing adult nappies as I also fear my bodily functions will cease down there. I don't want to be found with urine and poop all over me.

It's alot to think about.

Welcome DD! A 10L tank will do the job; there is no need to go for a larger cylinder. CTB with nitrogen is independent of height and weight. All you need is around 30min of gas to guarantee brain death. I would suggest a slightly lower flow rate at 15LPM. A higher flow rate might dry out your mucous membrane. Incidentally, a lot of your questions is addressed within my blog under my photo. Happy holidays, G
