Firearm Placement - Back of Head?

Hi everyone - firstly let me say this is my first time openly discussing my intent to CtB so it feels kind of weird saying these things, I've had to struggle in silence. I digress. At present I am leaning towards two potential methods: exit bag, or a firearm. Exit bag seems like a nice peaceful and easy way to go. I'm an engineer so I don't doubt my ability to properly construct the device and supplies are easy to come by, although I worry about SI kicking in as I begin to fade if it takes more than a few seconds.
My alternative choice is a firearm, I'm in the States so it is easy to come by weapons. Long guns (rifles shotguns etc) I could go to the store right now and be home in 1 hour flat with gun in hand. However, although I know long guns are a more surefire (haha, get it) way to go than a handgun, I don't want to make a gigantic mess. So, I know the sweet spot is the back of the head. Execution style. I've seen videos that all appear to put the victim out quickly and easily. My question: would you think it'a possible to hold a pistol at this angle and still fire it effectively? I was looking at a Glock 17 chambered in 9mm as it's a weapon I shot for many years with family. (Don't have one of my own yet, but that's easy enough)

Back of head would be hard indeed. Handgun was my first choice of method but had to give that up when I received my denial letter for a CCW License.

where I am you don't have to get a CCW! Just background check, and I know mine would come back in good shape. Takes only a few days.

That's genius lol and a simple google search did the trick! This company sells holders for the weapon, and also remote trigger pulls similar to how a brake on a bicycle works.

As I understand it, the intention is to to essentially sever the brainstem with the bullet, placement and such to achieve that I can only speculate on. Sorry I don't have the knowledge to share, I've always found firearm methods to be too gruesome and violent, not an end that I would prefer.

I totally understand the aversion to a violent end. That said...I kind of like the finality of it if done properly. No time to turn back once there's the rack-rack-click.

I watched several of the company's videos. I do like this a lot more than dealing with potions N powders... But I'd feel a lot more comfortable taking a few professional gun classes first. Would have to get (1) right gun, (2) both the holder and base plate, (3) a solid but portable metal bench that accommodates the clamps, (4) a secure, private location where I could practice then set up and execute. Lot more involved than I was anticipating--powerful but short shotgun in mouth aimed at stem. But if the RR allows for more precision, a powerful remote controlled handgun might be a better way with less chance of failure or prolonged suffering while dying.

I've seen that vid. Seems remarkably peaceful (to me) b/c it's so very, very quick. But I still wouldn't want to chance it holding such a long gun. I have the worst luck. I'd be the person who'd flinch last minute, blow off 70% of my face (a marked improvement), but survive a vegetable to be dumped on by whatever state agency inherited me...

Me too, this is my scare of gun, if not aim correctly, best to blow the whole brain out, if not, as long as your brain still intact and your heart still beating, you be vegetable. Not to mentioned facial disfigured.
I did think of spend 1K, buy this Kel-Tec shotgun, this thing really blow your head out, and this dude not even have to aim at the temple, he just aim at his head and blast it out.

Gun seem like a very quick death, bam, 1 second, gone.

With terminal velocity free fall, your heart and other organs will tear lose, so it an injuries of all over your body, including head injury. If your heart tear lose, it hard to survive.
There alot of jump survivor stories too. But if you jump at least 1,500 feet it very unlikely you get that lucky, it should be bam, loud thud, and all black afterwards, quick like a gun.
Sometimes I think the heart is what I should aim at to destroy, at terminal velocity speed, it should be enough to tear the heart, if the heart is gone, brain will be gone very soon afterwards too. So dead.

How did you suddenly lose your command of English?

No idea, I just write out what in my head, what I think I write straight out. But my English is better in present tense.
All those tenses of English is too much for me, past tense, progressive, past progressive, future tense, etc.. I don't know.
My native languages doesn't have tenses. It doesn't have abc letters alphabet neither. We write in symbols.
English is my THIRD language.

The KSG is soooooo fun to shoot. If you choose to ctb I highly recommend going and having some fun with the kel tec first!

Yeah, I'm thinking of get this gun at my gun shop place, money is not a problem. I still want to plunge 2,000 feet to my death. But this KSG seem like a good way to go too, still debating which method.

@Sweet emotion is correct. If you are using a handgun, in through the mouth will work too, just make sure you aim back far enough so you would be able to hit the brainstem, guaranteeing death. Also remember to use hollow point rounds as they deal more damage on impact than FMJ (Full Metal Jackets).

Not really a good idea, because in another old thread @TiredHorse (he's quite the expert when it comes to firearms) has mentioned that rigging something to shoot an intended area has a large margin of error. This is because when a person moves, the position of where the firearm is supposed to hit will move as well. Also, when you pull a string or rig something up, you are leaving more room for error whereas just holding gun and controlling it that way. By holding it, you are able to be more precise with where you hit.

Do you think a slug is better than 00 buckshot? Both about the same i suppose, tho I'd favor the latter. Mouth better than temple as mouth stabilizes gun. Pointing at temple too easy to flinch and botch the job.

I like fail safe, at least two things together - n and shotgun. Kind of defeats the peacefulness of the n tho, huh?

That looks pretty damn foolprooof lol I just don't like the idea of leaving a huge mess which is why I'm leaning towards the handgun route
