Just tried to hang but can't pass out fast enough, sat in my big block Chevy with hose into cab. Modified exit bag strategy. Felt myself instantly passing out. On auto pilot, pulled hose away for some air. Eventually shut the fucking truck off and went inside. Know I'll be experiencing carbon monoxide symptoms for hours. Wtf, I got nothing left but can't explain why I stopped it. Debating going in for professional help. Wtf is wrong with me I was so close.

Worth trying the professional help, to see what's its worth for you.

I feel you with the disappointment, had something quite similar recently... Hope you lived to face a better life.

For your own sake, do not get "professional help". There really isn't any help. They might lock you up in a mental facility. They will definitely want you to take drugs or force you to, which will do lots of damage. Try to cope with any positives you have in life.

Some people are not forced anywhere, medicine can be refused (I hope!), techniques are tried, things are understood (with the help of the therapist or catalysed by their bullshit or presence). Sometimes something changes. If careful with sharing the ctb intentions, op doesn't face any ward. Definitely worth trying, worth trying all that comes to mind as a possibility. Maybe this thought of trying professional help came from some subconscious knowing.
We die anyway, worth experimenting with what if.

Hi. Can you not source SN where you are? Survival instinct cannot save you from it. Otherwise your body reflex mechanisms will keep interfering as it tries to defend itself. SN is also apparently relatively painless but if you want to make a statement and follow through with your current method you will have to keep surfing the forums for similar cases to hopefully find one which was successful. It can botch though. Definitely go in and seek medical help if you are having any second thoughts about the whole thing. But if you are sure this is your path then you are unstoppable. All I can say is good luck and I hope you are happy with the outcome either way. If you do have any family you love, maybe remember to leave notes for them otherwise nevermind.

I second this, especially if you value your freedom, liberty, and privacy. This is because once you admit to being suicidal or a danger to others or yourself, it automatically gives the professionals a lot of power to decide what to do with you. Then you would be at the mercy of them until they determine that you are cleared to be discharged. It does more harm than good, especially the medical bills, the stigma, the stain on your medical/background record, etc. Also, if I recall correctly, I believe you own firearms at some point (or maybe still do) so being locked up may affect your ability to possess firearms, which would make you even more trapped than before.

I didn't even realize that. A court ordered treatment ends your legal right to own a firearm. The police would come, search, and confiscate firearms. You might be saying goodbye to your method if you get "professional help".
