Do you ever think about why we hold on so tightly to life, even when it's full of pain and uncertainty? It feels like we're always struggling, always chasing something that slips away. Yet we struggle so much to achieve death which is calm and peaceful, where all the noise and stress just stop? It's hard to imagine; the end is something that is mysterious, confusing and otherworldly. It's a kind of peace we just can't understand while we're here.

I think it is because as human beings we have an intrinsic fear of the unknown, and if the only thing we know is life, we instititively cling to them that gives us security and that we know, because even if it causes us pain, at least it is a familiar feeling

Just wanting some peace

For me personally non-existence truly is the only peace, it's all I see as desirable and is all I could ever wish for, I'd never wish for any of the suffering this existence causes, I find it a burden to be conscious in this existence at all, I just wish to be at permanent peace instead. I wish I could just have the option to simply die in peace and never exist again, I suffer so much from how I cannot just have a death like falling into an eternal, dreamless sleep.
