Finding job is difficult

So, I'm a student and I would love to earn some money on weekends. The problem is- there is literally nothing I can do anymore. I send CV to half of the job offers that I saw online and no one responded. They all have an active offer, but doesn't say yes or no, that's so fuxked up. I need a job that wouldn't require a experience and wouldn't take my time in weekdays since I still have to go to school... It's so frustrating. Maybe someone has some advice..?

It really is difficult these days...However, applying in person can increase your chances of getting hired, especially in small/local businesses. Or if you have friends at school, you can maybe ask them for a referral. Say something like "I'm looking for a part-time job, if your workplace is hiring, would you be okay referring me?" It doesnt necessarily have to be a friend, if could also be a classmate. Best of luck to you, keep on trying & don't give up yet <3

I mean… unless the owner's gonna do some work themselves, they gotta hire SOMEONE AT SOME POINT. You think that they can just sit there and magically expect work to be done? Nope it's a two way street. That's also why so many places have closed am I right? nObOdY wAnTs To WoRk! No it's because you don't wanna hire anyone!

If you're a full-time student, you're probably better off studying skills rather than making money. Most student jobs give you no better than minimum wage, and the capitalist world would still try to lowball your payouts further.

Pick something to study, for example programming, hacking, arts, cooking, languages, academia, etc., and get yourself to the pro level at these crafts. Downright the best investment I ever made in my student days.

it was already hard a few years ago, now it's just impossible

Hard agree. Any job that doesn't require credentials will never pay you adequately if your labour can be supplanted by automation or done under the table for cheaper. You are better off devoting that time and effort elsewhere.

If you must get a job, try applying for internships tied to your field. Applying in person always helps too; the human factor is much more important than most people realize.

Call, show up in person, make an impression. I'm too introverted for something like that, but differentiating yourself from other applicants vastly increases your chances. I recently spoke to an old teacher of mine who emphasized the importance of this, he allegedly got multiple offers after either showing up in person or calling to apply (can't remember which one it was)

Anything to make yourself notable, applying in this sort of "direct" way also shows resolve and willingness to work.

The problem is- not everyone has the privilege of just caring about studies. I'm good at art, and I even tried to make money of it, but the art field is just so packed right now... You can't even imagine how hard it is on the market right now. Along with the AI art getting better and better, I see no future for myself, because that's literally the only thing I'm good at.

I'm older than you and stuck at the same predicament. The job market is horrible nowadays, has been since COVID hit. AI made it worse.
