Finally out group home after year mental hospital stay and into an apartment

Hi,

I haven't posted anything since 2022 when i was struggling really bad, i ended up at an asylum for the third time in my life
It wasn't easy, i got hooked on benzos to deal with the anxiety of being around others , after that a group home for another year, still on benzos

It's now 2024 and i've been taking the benzodiazepine pyrazolam 3mg for about a 1.5 years

Now a second struggle and maybe the hardest will begin; which is quitting benzos after more than a year of daily use

I don't feel comfortable in my new setting i hope it get's better, once i'm ready ill begin tapering, which again will be the worst thing i've done yet

Good luck with coming off. You have done great getting through the psych admission! I spent alot of time in a couple psych units last year. I'm still on the benzos. But not sure how much longer I will be allowed them. Hope your new setting feels like home soon
