Fed up with school, got a D on my midterm

Tbh I havent been pulling all my weight with this particular class. Well maybe not really. I did pass some of my quizzes, and I did extra credit and I am up to date with homework. I know I woudlnt do too well on the mid term but I feel like a fucking failure and I want to shoot myself in the forehead for being a retard

School's a joke anyway, especially college. I once got a score of 27/100 on a final exam that was supposed to be worth 45% of my total grade and somehow I still passed the class with an A minus! How does that work? I have no idea and I don't care! This is at a well respected university too.

I didn't have to do office hours at all in my situation but that's still a good idea.

At least you didn't wait (like I did) until an hour before my online exam was due to find out that hey, the browser needed to take it requires duo authorization and oh noes, the phone for it has vanished. Here's to glorious failure ey mate? In these situations it's best to make light of it and not stew over it. like iron said, schools a big joke, and (in my opinion) only exists as a way to avoid getting a job for as long as possible (which is a good thing!).

On the other side of things I once got an 11/10 on a shitty 2 page assignment about acoustics and realized how much of a joke school is. Total crock of shit. Then playing a piece in front of a jury. You're going to judge my music and grade it? What is this???

I fell short of the grades I needed to apply to uni this year, getting A B B rather than A* A A. College is the only real responsibility I have in my life and I feel like trash for not being able to manage even this one simple thing.

This was me all through my schooling. The year I came out to my mother was traumatic me and I ended up failing 5 out of 10 courses. I overcame it. Went on to get four degrees, including a doctorate. Don't let a few bumps along the way derail you, but also be careful not be too obsessed with report card purity!
