Here are two very different ones. What one considers to be a sad song is a spectrum. For my sad stuff, I like instrumentals rather than lyrics. And I'm usually pretty picky too.

Holy hell, I forgot about this song. It brings back so much nostalgia, but in a kind of way that makes me feel like I've been kicked in the gut. Any kind of music like this from the early 2000s makes me feel like this... there's just something so eerie about that time period, and I don't know if I'm the only one who gets that sense, or if it's because I was going through a lot of particularly bad shit during that time, or what... but it gets me right to the core.

I used to listen to the "Under My Skin" album all the time when it was first released and I felt so... understood? Ha. I totally agree, I wish she still made music like this.
