Protesting the conditions of an inhumane world

We've all heard of the "classic" methods, such as SN, hanging or suicide by gunshot. However, there are tons of other methods out there that people have used... the possibilities are endless. Do any of you have some favorite methods? They can be ideas, or methods that have actually been done before.

Here are some of my favorites:

In 1854, George Towler of Leeds, England jumped into a furnace full of molten iron. All that was recovered was a piece of his charred spine.

In 1877, George Perks of England proclaimed "Where that will go, I will follow" before getting in the way of a steamroller and getting flattened.

In 2002, Richard Sumner of Wales handcuffed himself to a tree and threw the key just out of reach. He died from exposure to the elements after four days.

In 2008, Gerald Mellin of the United Kingdom tied one end of a rope to a tree and the other end around his neck. He then got in his car and floored it, and his head flew off.

What unusual methods have you heard of?

Guillotine death was suicide
_39136581_coroner203.jpg
A Northumberland made a guillotine in his bedroom, which he used to cut off his own head, an inquest heard.
Builder Boyd Taylor spent several weeks constructing the complex device at the home he shared with his father in the village of Milbourn, near Morpeth.
The 36-year-old's father Robert discovered his son's body in January after hearing a noise which he thought was a falling chimney.
The inquest, at Wansbeck General Hospital, recorded a verdict of suicide on Thursday.
The hearing was told the complicated mechanism was primed to switch itself on at 0330 GMT and cause a blade to fall on Mr Taylor's neck.
In a written statement read out by South East Northumberland coroner Eric Armstrong, Robert Taylor said he knew his son had been working on something in his bedroom for several weeks.

Death by eating an incredibly burnt piece of toast that is so hard that the entire body shatters, cartoon-style.
A method so unusual, it has yet to happen.....
(but there's always a first time, so......)

In Japan there is a volcano that for about a decade or so, every day someone would jump in the crater.

The grandfather of one of my coworker commited suicide by taking a circular saw to his neck. I always thought that's how I wanted to go too, must be hard to do it but the cances of missing must be low?

Probably not even physically possible, but I think it would be fun to stand next to a giant tuning fork that's vibrating at a frequency that would make all the atoms in my body disassemble.

Death by masturbation (an autoerotic death) makes me laugh.

not sure how legitamite this story is, but there`s a video out there in a suicide compilation that apparently involved a man sticking his head in a fence and wrenching his body hard enough he broke his neck. the video in the compilation shows people lay down his pretty dead looking body on the ground. I think it was titled the Sad world! suicide compilation i think.

There's one I saw a while back where a man jumps into a steel furnace and explodes into steam. Liveleaks has gone soft and took the video down but it's surprisingly on YouTube. It's not very graphic but still potentially traumatizing.

I read there that a man died from drinking 4 liters of carrot smoothie per day for 10 days and died. they said some vitamin excess. What I think, bugs bunny was suicidal? . I ate carrots all day every day lol. xD

That's true, he was probably thinking about it for some time beforehand as well. Days, weeks, maybe even months.

there are some documented cases of people who have built a personal guillotine to behead themselves, it's a rather creative method.
