• Hey Guest,

As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. The UK and OFCOM has singled out this community and have been focusing its censorship efforts here. It takes a good amount of resources to maintain the infrastructure for our community and to resist this censorship. We would appreciate any and all donations.

I have my set up ready. I've started drinking to reduce SI. Listening to "sad" music while "sad" music is known to increase mood levels, and this is the way I want to go out, on a mini high, so....

What are your favorite songs about depression while I ramp up to getting it done? Get Off On The Pain by Gary Allen, 1800 whatever by Logic, or Adams Song by Blink 182. I want to go out while sitting in it.
Also great and in rotation
I'm Sorry Joyner Lucas
The Day That I Die Good Charlotte
I'm Not A Good Person Pat The Bunny

Going out to Hurt by Johnny Cash

Edit: please see comment number 4 (mine).

Okay so quick clarification, I love a lot of music, but I fell off of music about 6 years ago, except for country and a few hip hop songs. I know of lil peep, but I want this to be more mainstream from like pre 2018. If I recognize an artist, I'll throw it in rotation.

One of my favorites:

Celtic frost - Obscured

Somewhere inside
It's still obscured
Darkness reflects
Stronger than fear
I seize control to inhale this final day
I shut my mind but I'm falling anyway
No
And I think that I'm all alone
I can feel the rain pull me down again
No
And I know that I have no home
I can feel the pain take a hold again
Tied to the ground
In mounting shade
My soul is bound
And so it fades
I seize control to inhale this final day
I shut my mind but I'm falling anyway
No
And I think that I'm all alone
I can feel the rain pull me down again
No
And I know that I have no home
I can feel the pain take a hold again
And I know that I won't escape
My remaining faith is draped
Like my hurt and my fleeting grace
In this numbing empty space
No
And I think that I'm all alone
I can feel the rain pull me down again
No
And I know that I have no home
I can feel the pain take a hold again
No
And I think that I'm all alone
I can feel the rain pull me down again
No
And I know that I have no home
I can feel the pain take a hold again
No
And I think that I'm all alone
I can feel the rain pull me down again
No
And I know that I have no home
I can feel the pain take a hold again

Linkin Park songs might fit. Meteora, Minutes to Midnight, and Hybrid Theory all have songs which can be interpreted that way.

"Given Up", "Leave Out All the Rest", "One Step Closer" and "Shadow of the Day" come to mind.

Bullet - Hollywood Undead
Trouble Breathing - Alkaline Trio

Ya that's the only song I know of lil peep. LOL hip hop isn't really my genre. And unless you're into psychedelic rock, tame impala though an older artist, not super popular.

I loved hip hop in my late teens and early 20s. I was also (as a white guy), room mates with 3-4 black guys and they were president and vice president of the college BSU (there was one college, it's was a town). Used to bitxh about my "white people music" all the time 😂

My tastes are fairly mainstream, but I got really into techno for a few years, and warped tour pop punk was the shit.

I listened to EDM, but the few songs I knew from hard style were definitely my faves
Thank you all for engaging me on my way out. It's nice. I pushed the people who care about me out. Countdown to the finale getting better.

I love all those Linkin Park Songs, I got a memory of me being shity tied to One Step Closer, but that's an aside. I'd rather go Numb or Somewhere I Belong when it comes to them.

Used to bump One Step Closer when I was pissed as a kid just to try and give my parents that little fuck you. They didn't deserve it, but I'm fucked man lmao

I don't know if you know the song or if you are into hip hop, but. Numb/Encore with Linkin Park and Jay Z, holy shit. Way under rated in my opinion.

the whole collision course album really is one of the best ever made. God damn linkin park kicks ass!! Also everyone should check out Reanimation if you like LP; it's an old "remix" album of Hybrid Theory but all the rearrangements are so fundamentally distinct they're really new pieces of music!

You said one direction and I lost interest lmao yo I'm just kidding. If those are your songs, those are your songs. But I feel like you might be the type of person I can say I just found Happy by NF, and it might be the song for you

Night changes is a genuinely great song, give it a listen if you have the time, it is no stereotypical boyband stuff.

Linkin park is my favourite band (obviously) so my list is mainly them. A lot of their songs speak to me when I'm feeling dark.

Shadow of the day
From the inside
Easier to run
Leave out all the rest
Lost
Halfway right
One more light
Waiting for the end
Crawling
Breaking the habit
Heavy
Good things go

Also some others come to mind

Hurt- NIN (the original that Johnny cash covered)
Nutshell- Alice in chains
Scars- papa roach
Bother- Stone Sour
Black hole Sun- soundgarden
The last day on earth- Marilyn Manson
Broken- Seether and Amy Lee

I can say an equivalent for a lot of things, but the point has always stood, that I don't listen to pop, especially boy bands. HOWEVER, a good song is a good song, there are plenty of country boy bands songs I listened to lmao

And timeline is 11 p.m. MST

Hybrid Theory and Meteora are iconic and if anyone says otherwise...shit IDK I'm on way out. But broken was one of those songs I was waiting for but but couldn't remember. Thank you.

Johnny KILLED the NIN version. The writer even let him have ownership.
Hear me out, especially because I'm gonna say YouTube it, but the music video version of Same Drugs by Chance the Rapper is fucking amazing.

Yes both versions of Hurt are bangers. I just prefer the NIN version because as you can tell, I like rock and alternative music lol. Trent Reznor is a genius.

And yes HT and Meteora are incredible albums. I listen to both on repeat. Now my 6 year old daughter is a huge fan and knows all the words to most of their songs. Proud parent moment lol.

I have tickets to take her to see them in August. It will be her first concert. I know it's not the same without Chester, but I'm actually enjoying Emily more than I thought I would.
