Yes, the only cases I have encountered where it took longer than 24 hours were in patients with illnesses such as pancreatic cancer.

With a minimum of 9 grams, you can expect death to occur within 30 minutes.

The time interval between consuming N and death in patients in the Netherlands averaged 20 minutes, ranging from 5 to 120 minutes; for 85%, it was less than 30 minutes.

In 2012, when 9 grams instead of 15 grams of N was used, the average time to death was 30 minutes.

Even in patients with chronic opioid use, there is almost no contraindication; the average time to death for these patients was only two minutes longer than for those not using opioids.

I don't think the use of antipsychotics will cause any problems. On the Euthanasia Review Committees website, you will find cases of multiple individuals with long-term use of antipsychotics who have received euthanasia.

Yes, 12 grams of N is a massive overdose.

Early discovery and medical intervention are where the attempt fails.

Do you think it is needed?

Pepto Bismol used to be recommended in cases of suicide with phenobarbital, chloral hydrate, and morphine sulfate as an anti-diarrheal medicine and to somewhat alleviate the caustic (burning) sensation caused by the medication.

This does not apply to N (pentobarbital).

For N, antiemetics are recommended.

Metoclopramide is considered by experts as the best antiemetic drug for use with N. Other proven effective antiemetics include Domperidone, Prochlorperazine, and Ondansetron.

These anti-emetics function by blocking specific receptors in the brain known as the 'vomiting center.' This area is triggered by nerve signals from the stomach in response to the presence of a drug, leading to vomiting to eliminate it from the body. Therefore, blocking these receptors in the brain with anti-emetics prevents vomiting.

In the PPH, the optimal time for taking an antiemetic is 40 minutes before drinking N. However, in Belgium and the Netherlands, a different approach is followed, recommending one tablet of metoclopramide (10 mg) at 12 hours, 6 hours, and 1 hour before drinking N.
