Venting Family fighting gave me a mental health reality check.

My family is ripping each other apart at the moment. My mother and sister are having a breakdown and my father has mentally checked out. There is so much toxicity, so much crying and so much screaming.

I have disconnected myself from reality and don't feel anything when I see them crying or screaming.

Watching all this made me realise how fragile my family's mental health is.

Now I am worried that if I ctb (which I'm planning to do this week), I will break them mentally and possibly even change their futures for much worse.

That sounds very stressful, I'm sorry you are going through this. We do have the right to exit this world at any time of our choosing, we are not obligated to stay alive for others, but I understand not wanting to cause others pain. I hope you find the peace you are looking for.
