Help Failed suicide attempt, should I try again??

Failed my suicide attempt with an exit bag couple of hours ago. I think either the helium tank was too small or I accidentally let some air in my exit bag. It was not a pleasant experience, felt kinda suffocated and left being super dizzy hours after my attempt.

I still have few days before I have to move out of the country I'm in due to visa issues during the pandemic. Should I attempt again?

I really don't want to move back to my parents house, they are really narcissistic. I have been controlled, emotionally abused and traumatised since I was a child. The rent in my home country is super expensive so I can't afford to move out again. And I cannot travel back to the country I'm in now because of Covid.

What should I do? Should I order another helium tank or any suggestions to easier suicide methods that won't cause a lot of pain but guarantee success?

Did you check the concentration of your helium? Manufacturers have reduced it a lot to prevent it being used for suicide.

If it was bought at a market, it's likely diluted. You might have to try a different gas. Argon and Nitrogen have pretty much replaced helium for the exit bag in some countries. I'm using Nitrogen for mine. I'm in the US.

It is listed as 99.9999% helium… so sad there's no actual way to check the purity right?

I'm sorry you are suffering, I can imagine how hard it must be to go through a failed attempt. I guess only you know if/when you should try again. I wish you well.

The technology with gas is important. If the gas contains oxygen or if there is not enough gas in the container the method can fail. I would not be able to handle the technology with nitrogen, argon or helium.

Was the manufacturer a party store place or for balloons? When buying, I'd stay as far away from that type of manufacture because I read that helium from companies like that intend their product to be used for balloons, are deluded with 02 to avoid people dying from inhaling both for fun and ctb

yeah - exit bag is not that easy i thought at the beginning - also failed once with it. ugly feeling to survive that shit.

thats why i would not try it again as a single method. i just would combine it with jumping, hanging or similar.

i had my butane and plastic bags and tape

i inserted the gas and realized i will pass out - i remember i had SI at first at stopped then. think it was because there was too much normal air in the bag and then SI kicked in.

i drank some more whiskey and tried again - with more gas. i realized i will pass out and realized i stopped breathing. then passed out.
then i woke up like from a bad dream and just had panic - think SI kicked in but dont really remember.

then realized im out of gas - maybe this was the reason then.

in both times i put tapr around my neck to not let air in. maybe the plastic bag exploded or something. i dont really remember.

i felt dizzy was near to vomitting and my eyes burned like hell.

but the passing out was not that bad - it was like everything is like an echo and in slowmotion. wasnt a bad feeling. but maybe took too long.

think the problem is that i can hold my breath very long (4 minutes and more) - maybe gas is then not working fast enough for me or just takes longer than usual.

but i have also a small bottle of helium now and tried to inhale just a few deep breaths - and it passed me out just within seconds without this slomotion-echo feeling.

so it would be maybe a good method to fall asleep and then fall down a building, hanging or similar.

I choose a argon for welding and I bought regulator. Also read pph pdf in resources before trying anything. Make sure you understand how method work. I wish you peace

You're not supposed to seal it at the neck. Panic / suffocation comes from C02 build up which could not escape because you'd taped the bag. This is the main principle to the exit bag method.

I find it very confusing people get the equipment and to the stage you did yet don't realise that, surely you'd read up on it to know how to do it and what to buy??

did you use a regulator to regulate the Flow in to the bag? 15LPM minimum?

You felt sick and had burning eyes because you used butane. Nitrogen or argon would not do this to you.

It would not matter if you can hold your breath. Unless your holding your breath inside the bag when it's on which again is the opposite of what to do.
