Exit life at daylight or in the dark?

I am thinking about in which atmosphere I should exit, if it would be daylight or dark, outside or in the house.

My no.1 wisch would be somewhere in the mountains during daylight or early sunset or fresh sunny morning. Bit hard to implement because I would have to travel with nitrogen around 1 day with a train and don't know a good spot.

What are your thoughts or plans for your last hours and minutes in life?

At night, when everyone is asleep, and the world is quiet enough to where you can only hear your heartbeat. I want to hear the last breaths I take and how I slowly dim out of the world to join the blackness of night.

I would choose the night. Everyone is asleep so nobody would hear me convulsing and thrashing on the floor.

It is ALL personal perference. Me, I want to ctb in Hawai'i under a palm looking out towards the ocean during the afternoon. Warm, sunny and hopefully what I will experience in the next place/world..etc.. I think it is one of the most personal of decisons to make when ctb. My 100% hope is for everyone to feel loved,cared for and lots of empathy here now and if and when ctb comes into play. All of you ARE my ONLY family and I want the best for EVERYONE here!!!

It's easier to achieve a peace of mind when the world around you is still.

Either during sunrise or sunset. I will do it in the countryside so hopefully I can find a spot that will allow me to do it outside without much fuss.

Ideally, at sunset; it seems like a romantic time to CTB. Just like the world transitioning from light to dark, so would you be transitioning from life to death.

But realistically, late at night is best. That's when most pro-lifers are asleep. So the odds of one of them deciding to contract you and send out a "search party" if you don't reply are slim; they'll just assume you're sleeping, just "not in that way". By daybreak, you will have succeeded, and only the faint glow of your bus's taillights will remain in the distance.

Interestingly, most executions in the US are done right after midnight. Due to the taboo factor of an execution, it's done during a time when most law-abiding citizens are asleep. Another is legal reasons. A day legally begin at 12:01 AM. So by doing an execution as early as possible, it gives criminal justice employees the maximum amount of time to get the execution's legal paperwork done. Similarly, your own death date will vary if you CTB'ed before or after midnight. If that matters to you, take note.

I'm planning on ctb in a few weeks, I'd prefer night time but it depends on what time I get to the place where I want to ctb

Well it is said that the veil between this existance and the next is at its thinnest around 3:30 am idk if this has any relivance or not but it sounds interesting and night in the quite lonliness is when i suffer most so it seem aporpraite. If i planned it i may do it at night during a time of some celestially sugnificant ocurrance But it all comes down to a matter of personal preferance and weather u are carring out a well thought out plan or are CTBing spontainously in a moment of suffering and sorrow.

I used to worry about this when my planned time was shortly after midnight because while like you said the day legally begin at midnight, in my country it begin at 6:00 am. Its confusing and I used to worry which day are they going to register my death date. I know its pathetic to have worried about this.

Begins at 6:00 AM? That sounds like the Catholic daily calendar, because Catholic churches do their Vesper services around that time. (Jews and Muslims start their day at sunset, and Protestants follow the secular daily calendar.) I'm guessing you live in a country with a strong Catholic tradition, who I know are very strongly against CTB.

I live in Ethiopia and the country has a strong oriental orthodox tradition. For us 6:00 am is 12 morning.

New Year is a strictly secular holiday, based on the Gregorian calendar. It doesn't follow any religious tradition. The reason midnight was chosen as transitioning time is because that's when most people are sleeping, so that it doesn't happen during a typical workday, and throw off dates on paperwork. (The night shift or the party nightlife didn't really exist when that decision was made.) Countries with a Christian tradition adopted New Year as a national holiday. Israel and Muslim countries don't recognize the New Year at all, although people still celebrate it informally; they have their own religious one.

Scarily, this makes sense even to me, because I'm one of the most pragmatic, non-spiritual people you (generic "you") will even encounter. But I'll pretend the spirit world does exist. In which case, it also explains why most paranormal activity happens at night: it's when the spirit world inhabitants are most comfortable visiting our boring, regular world. They know that the living can violent at times---after all, it's the living that can kill---so they visit when most people are asleep, since they remember what the living were like. What they forget is that most criminals do their crimes at night, like this year's looting and vandalism.

Since spirits don't have a physical body and can travel at any speed they choose through any material they want, they have an easy time going to the night side of the Earth as it rotates. (Jury is still out on how they behave in regions with polar night and polar day.) They retain their ability to feel emotions, which partially explains why they act the way they do. I do wonder if this is why most Judeo-Christian societies are so against CTB. After all, people who are driven to CTB feel a vendetta against certain people, society at large, or the government/politicians (like me). So they fear their ghosts coming back for revenge, or something.

Anyway, I have two plans in mind. The first plan can be done during the day because I'll be in a locked room, and I'd like it to be probably like 10 or 11 am, but now I'm more inclined to the second plan, which should be done during the night, 10 or 11 pm, to prevent anyone from noticing too early. I want it to be well into the night so others are sleeping, but too far into it and the civil date will have changed.
