Hi. Can anyone tell me what size helium cylinder I would need to effectively use the exit bag method? I have very little money so the smaller the better for me. I've seen one for £370 with another £40 for the regulator but this is a bit out of my price range.

Please read these two threads for ideas.

Unfortunately, the inert gas method isn't super cheap, but I'd think you could do better than the prices you've found (the cylinder especially).

Cheers for that mate. I think that maybe argon or nitrogen works out cheaper. I can get a 20l cylinder for about £100. The mega thread says you need 600 litres of the gas to effectively check out but I don't know how much gas is in a 20l cylinder. The pics all show the person sat there with what looks like a 20l cylinder but I'm terrified that I'll try that and it'll fail or worse case scenario leave me with brain damage. I can't have it fail I just can't

20L is 20 liters, not enough to ctb. It's said that you need 15 liters per minute for 30-40 minutes to work. Unless you're meaning 20 cu ft? Which would be roughly 580 liters of gas.

20l is the size of the cylinder. I've looked into it and a 20l cylinder has 300bar (300l) of gas inside it

Gotcha! I feel so bad that these methods are becoming so expensive! For me, I'd get a 40 cu ft tank to be safe but it's not cheap to obtain.

Nitrogen is cheaper and more abundant than helium.

20 liter = 4000 liter

Hey mate are you sure in your calculations? I thought 200bar is 200litres

The PPH (kind of the gold standard) says – as an absolute minimum, with no margin for error – one needs 15 lpm flow (of uncompressed gas) for 15 minutes.
20L is 20 liters, not enough to ctb.
Yeah, as has already been clarified, in Europe they seem to sell cylinders by their "internal volume" (how much water one could pour into a tank uncompressed) instead of as in the US "uncompressed gas volume" (how much gas one can expect to come out, uncompressed).

I'm very much confused as to how to convert the 15-17lpm to either psi or bar pressure for UK regulators.
If anyone knows this would be much help.

No it doesn't, but I found that Argon regulators come with LPM. So I've gone for one of them instead.
I saw someone stated that for N2 to be used with Argon regulator LPM needs to be turned down to around 13 though.

You'll be unconscious within a few breaths on any inert gas. And be dead within minutes.

The bar/psi readings are for the pressure regulator. A flow meter is needed for lpm readings. You can either purchase one separately or get a regulator with a built-in flow meter.

I have the Argon regulator for my Nitrogen set up. Like you say it just needs a slight adjustment. I have a picture in my past posts if you want to look.

Yes this is the argon one. Comes with nice little pipe fitting too.
Most stuff I have now, just waiting on this regulator and then just need to write some letters and it'll be time.

Happy days. I'm like you. All set and ready. I'm not nervous about when it happens. Just nervous if for some reason it does not work.

I'm not nervous either. Hoping I've done due diligence and I have no issues.
I'm ready to go. Life can find another punching bag.
