How many of you think that continuing to suffer living, just to enjoy superficial pleasures is pointless. Everybody's going to die one day. What's the point in suffering for ~90% of that time, running behind "good times" that last for ~10% of the time, only to end up dying one day anyways. Why not just die now?
Sorry if I don't make sense

Exactly. Life doesn't make any sense. Why on Earth were we forced to come to a world full of suffering? I just don't get it!

I don't even have superficial pleasure, lmao. When I eat, jerk off, smoke, stand in a forest, etc--I don't feel anything. It's simply not bad enough and I'm not ready to die yet. When I am ready to die, I guess I'll just walk into the forest with my 10mm static and do a firm and decisive partial (despite me hating on partial during my entire stay here).

Like another poster said, preaching to the choir mate. Suffering and pain is an inevitable consequence of desire. As long as we desire, we will suffer. And it is not humanly possible to entirely rid oneself of all desires.

We are always striving for comfort but it is like an illusion which disappears and reappears at random intervals. The only point of its appearance is to keep us in pursuit of this illusory state of comfort. Yet, society labels insane the ones who choose to opt out of this futile game.

Yes, I think living just to pass the time is crazy. It really hurts to feel like you don't belong and you are just going to die anyway. All this needless suffering, and for what?

Yes, we suffer for the sake of it. There is no limit as to how bad it can get either. Life can be incredibly cruel. As well as that existence is very tedious. Humans do the same activities on a loop for decades just passing the time until death. Death simply makes all life meaningless.

The only reason why I exist is because I was forced to, we lack the right to die and taking our own lives is hard. If there was an easy exit out of this life, I would have gone a long time ago. I see no value in living. I wish I was never born.

@ FuneralCry I hear what you are saying and I agree with some of what you said, however, you mentioned: Death simply makes all life meaningless. The philosopher, Alan Watts said, Death is the source of life. When we die we get to know what all this is about. I was paraphrasing but you get the point. Maybe Death is the answer to all this mystery surrounding life? And even if there is nothing after all this. Maybe nothingness is the reward for all this suffering? Thoughts?

I'm inclined to believe that Death yields nothing in terms of answers about life. If anything I guess it shuts the book on ever learning more about it. I was seemingly dead for 15 billion years and don't recall learning anything. For some reason I must exist for a blink of time as a fleshy meat creature, unsure of everything, before I return to being mindless matter. I can't even enjoy the reward of nothingness, if it's a reward at all, because I won't get to experience it. I don't think we really get anything out of being dead or alive, and I don't think we'll ever really know what we're here for.

If you dont mind me asking. If it is possible for you to get nembutal why would not do it as it is a peaceful way of going. I dont see much a difference between this method versus a legal euthanasia by the medical establishment. I get that it is hard to kill oneself and I am struggling with same predicament as you but I am wondering what is your prospective

Yeah, true. That's a good way of looking at it all. We never knew anything for a very long time before we were born. Certainly that's the case. That's why I mentioned that there is two things that can happen: Our consciousness goes elsewhere or there is nothing. Either way, we have no say over the matter unless we are judged and sent somewhere like religious people believe. I am not sure but I believe, death, to be an adventure none the less. Even if we are aware or unaware of it when it is time.

I continue living because I don't have the courage to ctb and I lack an easy, quick & painless method. I don't live because life has a modicum of joy.

I have heard it is difficult to get N. For many reasons I am unable to order any substances. I plan to look into other methods.
