• Hey Guest,

As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. The UK and OFCOM has singled out this community and have been focusing its censorship efforts here. It takes a good amount of resources to maintain the infrastructure for our community and to resist this censorship. We would appreciate any and all donations.

I agree. I also don't think that it should have massive restrictions to it like how the current "right to die" places have because that honestly isn't right to die at all. It should at least be legalised for adults who are over 18

Just wanting some peace

It truly does, it's just so horrible and cruel to me how the option to be euthanised is denied even know this existence was imposed in the first place, I'd never wish for the cruel, futile burden of existence. I personally see existence as the most terrible, torturous abomination that just causes endless amounts of suffering, I'd always prefer to die painlessly than be tormented in this existence of pointless suffering with no limit as to how much agony I can feel just to be tortured by old age. There's no suffering in non-existence which is why it's all I hope and wish for, I just want to never suffer ever again, I was forced into this existence in the first place so I should have the option to painlessly free myself from it in peace without the risk of trying to die going wrong and leading to way worse torture as a result, for me being able to peacefully die truly would be the only relief.

Absolutely. People should not have to suffer needlessly, and suffering happens even when people don't have a fatal disease. Have a waiting period and one-to-one interviews to be sure the person knows their own mind, but it absolutely should be available. It's pretty well-documented that most people who have it available don't use it, but they get great peace of mind knowing that it's there if they need it.

Honestly I don't understand why they don't legalize it in more places. The less people that exist, the less resources are used and so those resources can be used for people that want to live. Also some amount of the people who want to die also don't want to give a positive effect on other people so wouldn't it be in "society's best interest" to allow them the ability to die peacefully? Obviously I don't think you need to positively contribute to anything or anyone as long as you are not hurting anyone to continue with life as we were forceful created here.

My mum says that it shouldn't be legalized as some people may encourage people that don't contribute much but don't actually want to die to be euthanized (for example: the children of a retired old person might get them to go through with euthanasia as when they die, their money will be given to the children.) There should just be checks to see if a person going with euthanasia is doing it for their own reasons and not for someone else to prevent this from happening as people who don't want to die yet should not feel forced to go with euthanasia or suicide.

Everyone should have the right to die when they want to as its their life so we should be able to continue with it or end it earlier.

powers that be are not humane even those of us that are too disabled to contribute to their play private health organisations and prison systems profit housing and institusanalising

it is not about humane rights control and profit a message to public help is there and suicide is a tragedy is a cope igronence is bliss for the masses those poor souls have no voice beyond public media

they won't admit suicide is humane to end suffering they will expose brutal treatments ongoing

there's no mercy for those suffering can not expose us profits can be sort they hide dirty laundry cover up pedo rings police cells abuse lost fottage they do what they want can not empasize these people we are not humans and humanity is lost cause

value of life it is also included those who are in prisons and hospital asylums private healthcare is how we pay our value our job and wage for the goverment is incarsanation

I want euthanasia so I can die with the best technology medicine has to offer, not the barbaric DIY contraption I cobbled together from welding supplies and a fucking oven bag.
I want euthanasia so I can die openly and honorably like I deserve, not hiding in secret like a criminal.
I want euthanasia so I can discuss my decision and the reasons behind it with my family to help them understand and support me while I'm still alive.
I want euthanasia so I can have loved ones with me when the time comes.

Criminalizing euthanasia just forces people who are suffering the most to either languish in their pain, or become semi-criminals to surrepticiously do it themselves using substandard methods. It also makes the death more traumatic for loved ones. Nobody wins, everybody looses.

Society is not comfortable with death, at least not n the US anyway. It is believed everyone should want to stay alive at all costs because life is a precious gift. Then there is the religious people who think suffering is part of the journey because Jesus suffered on the cross for all our sins.

The word euthanasia was in my country an euphemism for mass murder, so I dont like it.
In my opinion killing oneself is a private thing that should not involve other parties.
But I agree, it should be easily possible to get drugs like sleeping pills.

So you want people with a terminal disease to go through a long process before euthanasia is approved?

In the U.S. it's legal in several different states such as New Jersey, California, Colorado, Hawaii etc. but I believe it's only due to terminal illness. (I'm not sure) I wish there was more education on the topic of suicide though.

Yeah, exactly. If euthanasia or assisted suicide was legalised so that we could peacefully end our lives in a clinic, we could die and use our organs to help somebody with treatment so that they can get better. There are so many right now who are suffering because they need a particular type of organ but have to wait months or even years to get lucky with an organ donor whilst there are millions of suicidal people per year whose organs get wasted due to poisoning or drowning or the fact that death by suicide requires a long post mortem analysis. If euthanasia was legal, people can kill themselves peacefully and also donate their organs to those who need it so that they can potentially recover. By making euthanasia illegal, both the suicidal people and the people requiring an organ transplant are losing.

I don't think that this is in society's best interests unfortunately though since most people are religious and with that comes the idea that every human life is sacred and must be preserved for as long as possible no matter what. There is no limit to people's suffering before the pro lifers would say "lets pull the plug" as shown in post #7 by @yowai on this thread

No, only the mentally ill.
So you want people with major depression to go through a long process? People will commit suicide before the decision is made. You see the dilemma? In Belgium you can get euthanasia because of 'unbearable mental suffering', but you have to be 'sound of mind'. You can't have people requesting euthanasia during a psychosis or mania for instance.

This is complicated . There are people with depression who can get better with time and the right treatment . Im not one of them but others can
