Almost all dead people will soil themselves. I looked after terminally ill people for years. When you die all the muscles relax and you can't help it. Having a quick pee first isn't going to change that I'm afraid. If you don't want to make a mess the best thing you can do is use an incontinence pad.
The patients I looked after sometimes hadn't eaten or drank in months, I was always surprised that the body still produces waste despite that. Also if the funeral home couldn't collect the body for a day or 2, we had to check them before they left and usually change the pad again as the body continued to "leak" after death.
But yes @Valsalva you can at least reduce the amount.
We do indeed. The best think of course would be to wear incontinence briefs. I won't be doing so, mainly because I don't have any, but maybe I'll wear multiple under layers.
