ב''ה,
Another "fuck it, it's on my mind."
The Chair was designed to maximize suffering for penalty and spectacle, theatrical techniques don't work and are just that to fuck with homicidal idiots, probably thankfully.
But, while not the most painless, there's probably some nuanced ways, and as much as the vape phone was a thing years ago the DGAF countries could build the circuitry into consumer electronics to get around the availability issues with everything else.
Something like a compact fibrilator? Not sure that ECT in the moment would block pain or suffering but if anyone accidentally does discover a Tasp at least that would be cheerful and perhaps eventually lethal to anyone who could afford to linger with one.
There's plenty of TENS equipment and probably veterinary equipment around, though being certain it's fairly low suffering seems like a thing, and otherwise slapping a thrift store TENS across the heart seems like probably a bad time.
Any anecdotes etc.? Grasping cables and nudging a switch with a toe might do it at significant discomfort and hazards to those around, but possibly not exactly a sure thing if there's less awful means.
I've had the odd luck to have played with a direct electrical stimulator that twiddled the optic nerves directly with some sort of 9V powered 'chirps' and, tell y'all what, that would at best be minimally distracting, but turned up all the way it was distracting, so perhaps if there's a way to impact consciousness that way it would be a way to make the minute or so of stopping the heart less excruciating somehow. Would require a ridiculous setup of like alligator clips and tinfoil, conductive gel certainly would help and isn't widely available, but 4 wires out of every SMPS or phone or whatever would be a boon to people with no other options.
