I have a hairdryer, and I can take the pain. I'm only concerned about the success rate. I need the current to travel through my brain/heart. looking for ways to improve the odds. should I cut the wire and just use that or the dryer itself? I tried playing with partial hanging, but this is apparently faster and I won't be able to stop myself.

Most modern appliances have a ground fault interruptor which turns the device off instantly when it becomes waterlogged. Older appliances, like something you buy at a flea market that came from the 90s would do the job, though it'll either be a painful jolt, or full on electrocution.

If you have updated plastic plumbing this will not work. The key, like you said, is to pass current through organs. Normally this would be accomplished by touching you middle back or head to a grounded pipe or fixture creating a lower resistance path to ground.

You can throw a lamp in your tub and take the bulb out. Measure current at various point in the tub with a multimeter and its very easy to see that only place you will have current will be directly between contacts because it's the path of least resistance.

You could get a standard taser, and shock yourself in the heart while bathing in the tub.

Unfortunately this would not work either. A taser would have to have a contact on your middle back and one in the front to effectively pass through your heart. Electrocution these days is extremely difficult and unreliable.

I think 5 seconds of taser to the heart will kill you

I really need my death to be spontaneous with minimal setup. Because I'm not alone very often. Going all the way out into the woods and hanging is too premeditated. Doing it at home is too risky I'll be found. I might try to hail Mary this, drugs in the UK are highly regulated. This is carebear land unfortunately.
