Does the cyanosis (turning blue) of your fingers and lips set in before you lose unconsciousness after taking SN Sodium Nitrite? Kind of freaky, don't want to look at it

I think you have a good chance to find cyanosis before passing out if you want to check it.
It depends on the sources what level of MetHb concentration generally leads to the loss of consciousness, but cyanosis is the first symptom to be found at MtHb > around 10%.

See the pictures in the article. They might not be what you think cyanosis is; the strength of blue color seems progressive.
