I heard the bioavailability of heroin is 35% if you eat it. So a person would need to eat 4x the amount he would need to inject in order to overdose, plus Xanax, plus alcohol. What's a fatal amount of heroin do you think?

If it is 35% but it's likely only 25% pure to start with then you'll be down to about 8% and your gut will turn that back into morphine which is 3x weaker than heroin so 33% of 8% = about 2.6% which is pretty close to zero. Why bother.
