• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

Alt.suicide.holiday (ASH) has been mentioned and discussed many times here already. But recently I remembered a lesser-known pro-choice suicide website and a forum called dyingpictures.com that I have sometimes been lurking in the early 2010s. It was specially created for a planed suicide documentary and existed from 2004 until around 2014 which is a long period for a place of this kind.

You can see how it looked like using the Wayback Machine - https://web.archive.org/web/20130906091638/http://www.dyingpictures.com/forums/. Although not everything is archived there, you can still access some of the forum categories and topics. Methods discussion was allowed and it had a separate section for those looking for a partner. Surprisingly, it was easily findable by a Google search as well.

Some of you who are older may also remember the site but even if you've never heard of it before, I think it could still be of interest.

I never heard of that website and I was suicidal even back then. I wonder how I could have missed that website. I guess it wasn't so easy to find after all.

I never heard of it either. I used to frequent ASH a good bit, but the moderators were shit, and the users were worse.

I don't remember how exactly I found it but I think it was by typing some suicide-related terms. I'm sure I got to it by using Google though but I suppose it wasn't something you could see in the first page of results, you had to go a bit further.
